Smoke detectors!? Bah! Use Colman propane lamp mantles. They're bitchen' beta emitters. We used to use them for training but had to stop using them...too hot.
If you're going to get serious about trace detection you go out and periodically measure the background radiation in your measurement area and/or shield your detectors. When I got internally monitored the detector was inbedded in a block if lead such that the only exposed surface was the one I snuggled up to...for a half hour. The resultant graph (minus background) showed levels and isotopes of the radiation within.
Right, it's a swipe. The goal is to swipe approx 100cm squared and from that and the radiation reading one can do a good approximation of contamination levels. Run a set amount of air through the "filter" and you can get a good estimate of airborn levels. Watch it decay and you can get a good idea of the isotope giving you the problem.
No, that was one of her predesesors, Debbie Gibson I think. Brittny was spawned directly out of the Disney machine. This proves the point, however, Debbie (or whoever) is trying to make a comeback, without lable support, by playing a college tour.
Shatner wrote(!?) two fairly amusing books, 1 about making the series and one about the movies. They have lots about the politics and arguments that were part of the process of making the movies and TV series. Lots of quotes and interviews as well as, somewhat self-serving. explininations, reasons why the movies weren't what they should have been.

OK the price is a little high and she's not a big, big name, but you get an unprotected download to do with as you please. So buy it and show support for the concept, check out the quality and if you're happy with that then send nice feedback as a customer(lower price, different artist, etc) and give them a chance.
I Have to scan through code regularily and the biggest problem is the variable names. I realize that they must mean something to the coder but to us maintainers they're most times akin to Sanskrit. Function(method) comments are nice too.
Unfortunantly the government has a flexable and capricious budget. The service that introduced me to the net was the local library now they've been forced to stop their free email due to budget cutbacks. Don't depend on the government long term.
Well yes, both the Hewletts and the Packards have said that they will vote (15-18% of the stock) against the merger, leading to a really ah...interesting proxy fight. Better that the soaps. All news should be looked at as an attempt at spin by one side or another.
This seems to be yet another spin control move. This is not what she said or has been saying. I know, it's hard to believe that the press can misquote or be swayed by a spin meister but at least in this case it would seem to be true. From the inside this whole thing has been really wierd... and kinda fun.
Just came in. Saw hundreds in the ~2hr. I was out.
Lots of trails in yellows and blues. We're far enough away from Seattle to get to see some of the faint ones. For a change we had clear skys so I got some good views of Saturn, Jupitor and the Orion nebula. My wife was impressed enough to have been happy to get woke up for the view.
Yes, but if you run out of storage you can cull useless images to free up memory. No wasted shots.
All that's really is a standard for permanent storage.
Just saw a story last week in the Portland newspaper about cell phone interferance with emergency radio(police, ambulance, firefighters)
such that in some areas, radios were useless.
This is true, Another example is television color adjustment. Women, in general, are much more sensitive to how a television is adjusted.
I saw that too...then I scrolled down to the technology section and there it was!
Trust me, they promise the moon, but amway doesn't really pay off for the vast majority

Don't know about Lars but Carly has other fish to fry these days.

I still use my 200LX, bulletproof and still unequaled.
Everyone focuses on the PCs. Where the big gains are expected is in servers and services.

And the sound of lawyers laughter echos throughout the land.
Not only that...someone remembers National Lampoons "Bored of the Rings!"
