You'll find land west of the 98th meridian to be arid and there fore less inhabitable because it doesnt receive moisture coming up from the Gulf of Mexico, that is what this imaginary civilizaiton line best shows
Alot of the time older co-workers do not really trust young people because they probably were very irresponsible when THEY were young..
anyway..I was 19 when i first started working here and still to this day I'm only hardcore geek, everyone else just knows enough to get the job done. (You know the type...) Which is fine, They end up coming to me with lots or various computer/internet/misc problems it makes me look good in front of the boss and gives me the respect I think i deserve... Thats the key.. You have to shine among your group, other wise you are just another young punk..

You might wanna just record that phone call into an audio file and just mirror it somewhere, because a toll free number is very expensive for those who own one and I'd hate to see the slashdot effect on that company. spend dollars on R&D not the phone bill!!!
Since you mentioned sony.. I think its funny seeing how companies are constantly battling their revenue sources against each other. Hmm should we make money off of software and the hardware to use the software.. or should we make money off blank media and the hardware needed to pirate software??? Why not both!!!
The money that is being lost to piracy is surely being made back with the revenues of cd writers and blank media. Its a beautiful cycle!.. If there was ever one thing the consumer was never given the ability to do, its to create his or her own media. We are into the 21st and we dont even have a convenient way to make our own paper! There's always going to be a business in media. Always:D
Does this mean the calender industry will be done for since you dont have to buy one every year???
AWESOME!!

When you break it down, the cue cat was a good idea. For marketing guys in ties....
It was really just meant to be a way of promoting, advertising, targetting and tracking. No wonder it was free, right? I laugh in the face of DC... didn't they realize that this would be the kind of thing that just asks to be modified? Think of the many CONSTRUCTIVE uses you can get out of it..
Someone can write a program that lets you scan barcodes on food packages and it takes you to a site that has tons of recipe ideas or if you are diabetic it warns you that it might not be a good idea to eat.
Or you can scan a book and it will transport you to a site that shows related books and topics. Not the publisher that tries to promote and sell more stuff..
Or you can put codes on fliers for parties/concerts and it will jump you to a site that has more information, tickets, maps, etc.
You can scan CD's and get the name of the napster user which has the corresponding mp3s;p
You can scan your electronic devices and have Kozmo deliver batteries;p
You can scan clothing and get a site that shows what would look good with that!
You can scan a car part and get some detailed instructions on how to do it yourself
You can scan a video game and get tips/tricks/codes/other info
You can scan a porno;o
I'm out of ideas
To me the boycott also means not going to concerts or buying the merchandise of bands who are on labels with RIAA membership. It also means not watching the music videos or listening to songs on the radio!! I can't even stand to think about how "advertising, demographics, independant promotions, etc. etc." dominates the media so much now, it sickens me! Does everyeone feel this same way? Am I going to far? If you want to effectively remove yourself from the gearmesh of corporate greed, it only makes sense to take all these actions.
