There are other issues, environmental and economic concerns are complex, but I don't believe that they are necessarily contradictory. I do believe there are ways to encourage more sustainable energy use, it seems many countries do this by selective tax credits and taxes. The EU has a tax on automobiles based on their CO2 emissions and it has encouraged looking for more efficient cars and other fuels.

That is an "if" that isn't satisfied here. Has Apple beat others to the accessories game? Apple was generally late to make accessories, and sometimes half-assed too, like the $99 leather case and the iPod socks. Anyways, I think this whole article is irrelevant. There is plenty of room in the market for accessories, and thankfully a lot of them differentiate on styles and features rather than just price.

It may very well be that the recent product launches is designed to provoke a lawsuit so the issue can be settled once and for all. I for one don't think that Apple computer's products infringe on Apple Corps products, and the same goes to their respective names and trademarks. With many or most trademark systems, it appears that it is legal to operate under similar or identical trademark names so long as they aren't in the same product category and don't use confusingly similar logos.

Paypal fees are actually reasonable compared to the cost of credit card transfers, and for small transfers, a lot cheaper than money orders or cashier's checks, not to mention quicker than waiting for payment, and has a built-in shipping service that pre-fills all the information for fast label making. It's not impossible to buy on eBay without Paypal, it really isn't harder for most items unless the seller requires Paypal. As a seller, it may present issues because a lot of buyers don't want to wait a week for the seller to get the payment, wait another week for a check to clear, or go out and get a money order, or risk sending cash in the mail.

I don't think it makes sense to compare Paypal to a bank, it's kind of like comparing Home Depot to Target, they aren't even the same kind of business, nor do they both necessasrily perform the same sets of services so they can't make money in the same ways.

People whine about Paypal, but it is generally incredibly easy, convenient and flexible. I haven't been ripped off by another Paypal user yet.
