The definition in the OED says nothing about rules. Actually, there are two different definitions, one with a positive connotation and one with a negative. Neither really says anything about whether or not people can take other people's freedoms in a non-government way. By the definitions of rule, it almost seems that there needs to be a ruler in some form for there to be rules, if not the form of entities or person, then in the form of the people.

I've read a couple articles about this, the Church in Europe frowned on any non-reproductive copulation and they frowned on alcohol. Puritans enjoyed alcohol in moderation and sex, just within marriage. Even the bit about how they handled "witches", while unfortunate, it was very, very short lived (a small handful of cases), parts of Europe were still burning "witches" centuries later, and had been practiced in Europe to the tune of estimated hundreds of thousands of times.

Ink for business printers is a lot cheaper than with consumer printers anyway. That's the nature of the business, you want a cheap printer, they want you to pay for the ink. If you want cheap ink, then you pay for a more expensive printer. HP and many other companies treat their consumer products differently from their business products because they are different markets with different expectations.

If you never need to use a lot of media, then maybe the flash drive will work for you, but the capacity is such a huge step back that it's probably not worth it except for a very few.
