TigerDirect has em as well. See my previous post. Speaking of which, now that I just glanced at the article, Tiger has had SystemMax A64's availible for purchase for about 3 months now (or at least they've been on the cover of the last 4 magazines). The one I'm looking at right now is A54 3200+, 1Gb DDR, 160GB HD, ATI 128MB AGP, DVD-RW, XP Home & a window case for $1349.
A manager here just got an eMachine laptop. I was laughing at first when another employee told me about the purchase, but when I actually went to configure it I was surprized. It felt solid, contained decent parts (except the sound chip), and all in all impressed me a lot more than the eMachine desktops we all know & love to hate.
... This is horrible. I was anticipating Fallout 3 to be a really great game & now, knowing how suits work, it will never see the light of day. Fallout 2 & Torment are still the best "computer" role-playing experience around. Maybe we'll get lucky & Troikia (the company that made Arcanum, another great RPG) will pick up the Black Isle's ex-devs.

Gotta love the Apple store. Too bad the iMac I ordered for my Mom's Christmas present in early *November* still hasn't shipped & has already been pushed back twice. This being my first Apple purchase, I was wondering, is this normal? Should I not count on it being here by the Christmas?

That would work too. I don't feel too badly for those 7000 people, especially if they knew what was going on. Granted, I'm sure most of them didn't work on the Enron account, but I think a Corporate Death Penalty would make employees police their employers a little better.

Named after the county where the metal hospital is. It's actually a pretty nice place to live.
I'd much rather see a corporate death penalty, when shit like this or Enron & Worldcom occurs. If a human stole that much money, and got caught, he probably wouldn't have another chance to do so for 40-50 years at least. Why should a company?
Stop being ignorant.

Does April 16th 1963 ring a bell?

Umm, wrong article?
Jaysyn
Well it is a throwaway account....

Email me & find out?

So is using P2P. I mean it's still time-shifting right?
Jaysyn
TigerDirect has had them for at least 3-4 months, just look at their magazines. And yes I'm talking sub-$2000 machines.

A guy in my hometown has a AMC Gremlin with a super-charged V8. It's sick.

Yeah, it's on my desk, it's called a phone.
Jerky.

They took out one of the most suspensful & and funny parts of the book, the joust? I guess I'll wait for a friend to buy the DVD.
Jaysyn
Wouldn't the motherboards be different too?
Jaysyn
Exactly what form factor is that "eMachines" hard disk?

So is this article a non-story or what?

If it was Communistic they'd be sharing the music. Facistic or Capitalistic is the word you're looking for.

So does Timeline suck anyhow? I really liked the book & it shouldn't have been to hard to make a movie out of it...

Alan Sherman kicks ass!

Ok, I just got confirmation that it shipped this morning, life is good.
