I work for a contracting company & this used to happen quite a bit between competitors. An employee will be fired & hired by the firing companies competition. The employee mentions something in passing about the ex-employeers licensing and boom next thing you know they have one less competitor.
Um, that's the problem, they bring local police and/or federal agents. They don't show up alone, they'll have a warrant with them, and they aren't stupid.
NOTICE: SCO has suspended new sales and distribution of SCO Linux until the intellectual property issues surrounding Linux are resolved. SCO will, however, continue to support existing SCO Linux and Caldera OpenLinux customers consistent with existing contractual obligations. SCO offers at no extra charge to its existing Linux customers a SCO UNIX IP license for their use of prior SCO or Caldera distributions of Linux in binary format. The license also covers binary use of support updates distributed to them by SCO. This SCO license balances SCO's need to enforce its intellectual property rights against the practical needs of existing customers in the marketplace.
The Linux rpms available on SCO's ftp site are offered for download to existing customers of SCO Linux, Caldera OpenLinux or SCO UnixWare with LKP, in order to honor SCO's support obligations to such customers.
Made = Assembled as far as I'm concerened. Bitching about where they get raw materials is just nitpicking. I don't expect my tires to say made in South America, but that probably where the raw materials for them came from.
I agree with you that China will be severe compition for the US software industry, after they get this planned of theirs ramped up, but the parent poster made a horrible comparison...
The interstate highway system was developed to get people out of the way of hurricanes & other natural disasters faster. A good friend of mine's grandfather was one of the engineers who designed it.
I'm I the only one that played UT2003 & for a couple of weeks then went right back to playing the UT mod Unreal Fortress 4Ever? Quad-Jump & Combos are nice, but I was pretty disappointed with UT2003.
I just removed it from a friends PC today. It's a version of 98 that makes it real hard to get to DOS & crashes like Windows 3.1

This looks like the stuff on Stardock, but most of it's better....
Jaysyn
That's what happens when 2 groups of people argue over imaginary friends.
Jaysyn
Ditto bud.
Jaysyn
See my sig, ex-RIAA act (through Nothing) gone Indie. They're a little odd, but I like em.
Jaysyn
Of course if the sales keep dropping & never pick back up, we'll have solved the problem anyhow ;)
Jaysyn
Bzzt! Wrong! Thanks for playing!
I get spam via YM! & MSN (though I won't have to worry about that soon) all the time

In 10 years I'd like to think that we wouldn't be using either & if Linux is still viable, it will hardly be recognizable as compared to todays stuff.
Jaysyn
I thought SUN was a hardware company.
Jaysyn
You realize I didn't add anything to that, right? The bottom part is theirs too. I'm damn sure not defending them.

That's right SCO, you go ahead & piss off the MPAA's darling of the moment, WETA. See you at your funeral.

And where can I get one of these Chinese cars? They must be great since China is so populous.
Jaysyn
But he did have a role in turning it over for civilian use.

This is so unreal...
If they are sending me an invoice, they had better have a copy of the reciept or purchase order I signed...
Aren't there laws against this?

I wish I had some mod points, I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read that.

An ISP could setup a pretty lucritive source of cash like this if they set it up right.
