Intellivision or Coliecocvision (sp?) I remember one of those old consoles had a controller that was kinda shaped like a tv remote. Man, now that thing was hard on the hands....
The Claw from Ferraro Designs is even better for FPS games. It's also fun to setup for "normal" programs like WinAMP, AutoCAD & Mozilla. Vertical, horizontal and/or diagonal scroll if you want it. It even works in Linux w/some tweaking.
Internet Explorer.... Mozilla's better IMHO anyhow.
Media Player.... WinAMP, duh.
DirectX.... this is where is gets interesting, most game devs rely pretty heavily on DirectX. If MS starts charging game devs to distribute DirectX (so people could actually play the games they're being sold) MS could make quite a pretty penny. Or it could really give SDL a kick in the ass from people jumping ship.
That must have been nice, the only Arby's around here is completely staffed by morons. I can usually get lunch at a sit down type restaurant faster than I can get my order in there.
This didn't work for BBS' either.

Detailed 3d schematics w/ a text dump of the games source code still wouldn't be that big.
Jaysyn
They still haven't got the autogenerating dungeons thing down yet.

Just read my sig.

I've got a stage one Gentoo install compiling on a fairly slow PC at work, so I'll tell you when I get back to it on Monday.
btw, I'm fairly new to Linux the insides of Linux, so I'm probably way over my head, but the instructions looked very well written.

I guess you saw the article about that political cartoonist too? And he was only talking about his career being killed.

Did you even look at the link?
"....vertically, and tilted side to side for horizontal scrolling."

I bet strippers hate you.

That's true in mid/south Florida. Where I live in north Florida is actually 60 ft above sea level with pretty stable ground.
So you go ahead & pray for rain, we've been praying for earthquakes for years, with better results.
Arizona Bay, here I come. (apologies to Bill Hicks)

Wasn't he looking for a desktop distro?
Jaysyn
Anyone got a Revo+ / Mako running this with a window manager yet?

Bud Ice is 5.9% alcohol by volume.

That's funny, at my old HS you went to jail if you were in a fight. Rural public school, circa 1994.
Jaysyn
That works fine for me in Win32 v Firebird v0.6.
Jaysyn
Local Access Network?
Jaysyn
Don't they have a song called "I am One" as well?
Jaysyn
I like the bookmark manager in Firebird *much* more than the gay ass dialog box in IE. What exactly does Firebird not have that you want?
Jaysyn
Reality Distortion Field?
Jaysyn
Yeah, but it's pretty obvious he's never used AutoCAD or ArcGIS at 800x600. I'll stick to my 21" ViewSonic CRT, thanks all the same.

Nothing to push the masses to Linux/Mac like charging for updates & bugfixes.
