You have a point, I wasn't thinking of a game just costing tens of millions of dollars to make as AAA & you're examples are definitely what I would consider AAA even if they are all pretty old. I was getting AAA confused with "decent non-indie" games. You gotta admit, it'd be pretty funny if Valve released HLE3 for Linux a few weeks before they released it on Windows.
You are wrong of course. Psychonauts, Half-Life, Portal, The Cave, The Killing Floor, Serious Sam 3 & Team Fortress 2 are hardly indie games. Trine, Faster Than Light, Uplink, Darwinia, Dungeons of Dredmor, World of Goo, Bastion, Towns, Legend of Grimrock, Osmos & Waking Mars are hardly shitty games.
Actually, Waking Mars was bar none the best game I played last year.
There should be a lot more games coming. I noticed when I was installing Steam on Kubuntu that there were about 25 games that I've acquired thru various Humble Bundles & Indie Royales that actually have Linux ports but haven't had those versions put on Steam yet.
Ditto. I'm just hoping it will support multiple GamePads soon so the kids will stop fighting (me) over it.:D

Is the Wii U Already Dead?
·
· Score: 5, Interesting
Exact opposite happening here. Our Xbox 360 is collecting dust (except occasionally when the kids want to play Tekken 6) & the kids are really digging the Wii U. They play NintendoLand, Super Mario Wii U & Sonic Racing all the time. 5 player gaming that doesn't involve the internet is a big hit at our house. Personally, I'm not too big on the Wiimotes, but I love the Wii U's GamePad. I also like the fact that I can, as of this weekend, get my retro F-Zero fix while the kids are watching TV, without having to fire up an emulator. Can't wait to see what else they release on the Virtual Console.
If Tekken or possibly Mortal Kombat ever comes out for the Wii U we may as well pack the 360 up for all the use it will get.
I think fraud is simply in Florida's DNA. I mean, what is Florida in the early to mid 20th century, if not "buying swampland for cheap?" Now, it's the height of US insurance fraud, medicare fraud, mortgage fraud, and identity theft, in addition to the drug smuggling and human trafficking that comes along with major ports of entry into the U.S. It's a crazy, crazy place and reality is far removed from the Mickey Mouse and orange juice that Discover Florida is selling.
And before you blow me up, know that I say all this as a long-time Florida resident...
You aren't alone. I get all of the Humble Bundle-alikes, usually there is a game in there I like, sometimes not. I haven't even tried out anything in my recent Indie Gala purchase yet.

Oh even worse, you are a "pretty graphics wee" kinda moron & an AC to boot.
Hope you like it, it had my fiance' & I enthralled for a few days (it's not a very long game, but very fun).
Every linux guy I know still has several Loki game disks in their collection.
I'm hoping they get put on Steam (or Desura, it works damn good in Linux too) soon.
When steam for Linux starts getting AAA titles within a few weeks of the windows release then they will have something worth talking about.
The Cave: released Jan 23 2013 - Double Fine Productions / SEGA
Let me guess, this doesn't count as far as you are concerned cause it isn't Call of Black Ops or whatever the latest shitty FPS is?

Odd, I have no problems with Machinarium on Linux & I'm pretty sure it's a Flash game as well. I may be wrong though.

The only thing Bitcoin has proven to be is incredibly volatile. Great job? I am suprised these exchanges don't advertise on Glenn Beck.
Good idea, they can call it BitGold.
Nope, you are referring to the IP age. The digital age started with the advent the microprocessor.
Why would you pay $35 to defend yourself on the off chance you got caught when you can pay just $40 / year for an encrypted anonymous VPN?
Not that I'm a dirty pirate or anything.
I'd also prefer it didn't have big easy-to-break-looking, drain-its-batteries-all-the-time controller tv things.
As a Wii U owner w/ 4 children, let me just say, you're wrong on both of these points regarding the GamePad.
Ditto. I'm just hoping it will support multiple GamePads soon so the kids will stop fighting (me) over it. :D

That's cute. Too bad for you the good Dr. will still be on the air long, long after you're dead.
To the absolute surprise of no one.

We even have a convicted fraudster as Governor!
(also lifelong FL resident)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your video RAM should also be taken into consideration regarding the memory addressing limitation.
Mod this guy up Insightful.
Students should be taught to think critically anyway.
Unfortunately, they aren't doing that either.
Ha, I completely glazed over that part of your sentence.
Or you can look at the map that is linked to at the bottom of the /. article.
That info (circa 2008) is in the last link of the /. article. It's apparently 2 out of 3 US citizens.

I don't know about you, but I'd download a car in a half a heartbeat.
Demolition derby FOREVER!
And makes me mad, I would love to play some SimCity, but sadly SimCity 4 doesn't modern hardware/software,
Odd. Im my experience not only does SimCity III & IV work just fine on my modern PC, SimCity 2000 SE for Windows works just as well.
