On a similar subject. I very much dislike how imprisoned criminals in some countries can lose their voting rights. Countries? Hell, if you get convicted of a felony in Florida & *serve your time*, you *still* can't vote when you are released. And it takes a lot of time & money to get your liberties back.
It sucks & makes it really, really hard to get bad laws changed.
Breaking the rules is the only way the rules have ever been changed. BTW, the U.S.A. is a Federal Republic, so I'm not sure where you are going with your last comment.
I believe that trees are common property of everyone. It is good for the world and I don't care who's land it belongs on...thus anything made of wood should be up for the taking. Anyone that thinks something tangible should be property has shit for brains. Wow, that's the absolute worst analogy I think I've ever read.
There has to be a reason I don't come to Slashdot any more. It is pretty bad when Digg and Reddit has more mature comments these days... Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
But compare this to most Linux distributions. If there was a failure of one part (e-mail, SSH, even the kernel), you only need to repair or fix that one piece and you're back and running again and that repair can be done independently of other parts of the system. Sure, if you are intimately familiar with it. The same is basically true for Windows. Most people just aren't that familiar with either O/S.
It's sad that a twenty-one year old psych nurse from Australia knows more about economics and YOUR history than you. Oh boy, another 20-something that has all of the answers. Don't be sad, I was right with you 10 years or so ago.
Ok, well it looks like I *won't* be buying Spore the day it's released. Or at all for that matter. Meanwhile, Stardock will continue to get my money for their excellent DRM-Free RTSX games.
Good history? I've never seen it. I don't know why people bother reading about crap that has already happened. It's a lot more interesting (and fun) to read sci-fi & fantasy.
I hope she likes fighting, FPS, sports or puzzle games, cause that's about all you have left multiplayer-wise. I'm not even to sure about the puzzle games.
Yeah & how does that make my plea any less valid?
The internet *is* the press these days. Also, something could probably be said about the peaceful assembly clause as well.
Dear Everyone,
Please stop voting shills, shysters & despots into power.
Thanks
The speed ratings on a DVD & CD are different.
IIRC, 1x = 1500 Kbps on a CD-RW & 4.5 Mbps on a DVD-RW.
It sucks & makes it really, really hard to get bad laws changed.
A DVD-R that can write ~2.5GB / second would be pretty damn cool.

Which is even funnier because she was a private detective in that flick.
Funny, everytime I screwed up a Linux box while learning how to use it, I fixed it the same way. Format & reinstall.
Amazon I know for sure. Ebay & Cragslist as well.
Trodo if it is still around.
So much for depreciation.
As an aside, Sins of a Solar Empire is a great, great game with a crappy name :D
Seriously, one of the best RTS games I've ever played.
StarForce is pretty much useless too.

From day one, Darl's behavior has been that of a textbook sociopath.

I hope you can now see how silly you sound.
Can we send that link to the judges aides?
I started using Miranda when Pidgin started crashing randomly out of the blue. No upgrade or anything. I've never looked back cause Miranda rocks.
:D
The point is, this is no longer an issue to me.

Songbird may be to "heavy" for you, but it's pretty cool.
... that Gracenote still exists with FDDB around.
