I love the fact that we don't have anything like terrorists flying planes into our buildings to distract real dedicated professionals from thier duty. Don't get me wrong, the majority of cops out there are hard working people doing a thankless job, but all it takes is a few bozo's like this to make a bad name for em.

join the military. easiest way to get one. whats involved in it? plenty. fist you fill out an sf86, basically everything youve done for the last 10 years. if youve ever done anything harder than pot,or any crimes that are a felony stop right here. else, they start a background ivestigation on you, flying an ivestigator around the country to find out if everything you said on the sf 86 is true. ( this part is NOT cheap, i have been told a top secret clearence costs aroun 30k$ take it for what its worth, i dont know if its true. ) if you make it that far, you may or may not get a polygraph ( for me they suxor, guess im just a nervous type )depending on the clearence. mine took ~8 months, but i had one w/o polygraph in the military, so that may be a little faster than average. good luck.

If they ever show up at my house, or if I am a buisness owner my buisness, I will simply slam the door in thier face and tell them to return later when escorted by someone with a badge and gun, and the better damn sure have a search warrant. Any contract that is agreed to after the pament ( purchase) has been made, i think (ianal), is null and void.

Nice link! Maybe I wasn't clear on that point though, I was speaking in general security terms with all the bozo's. Obviously that guy knows what he is talking about militarily. What I was addressing is the people who say we cannot win a war against terrorism. I agree it would be a very tough fight in Afganastan, thats why we wont do it. We would have the nothern alliance fight a proxy war for us. We cannot risk civillian casualties for a myriad of political reasons, but we can have the NA keep preasusure on the Taliban, and if we find Tango camps, we could raid them with SAS/SF/Rangers.

It is all FUD. As a former Army vetern ( 10th Mtn. service in Bosnia ) I can assure you our military can handle these people. We are being handed anti-US military propaganda by different people right now ( former hippies with a bone to pick, old communist cells that reappear just to promote anti-US military FUD, etc...) Even though the Clinton Administration destroyed much of the military, we are still a VERY formidable force. British SAS is the premire SPECOPS unit in the world ( US SF may disagree but just read Bravo 20), and ours ain't too shabby also.
Trust me, we can handle these guys. We may take some casualties, these guys did fight the Ruskies for 10 year, but we are extremely motivated for this mission. Remember, EVERY THING YOU READ IS NOT FACT! Examine the source. Many of these people that you are seeing on the tube latley have no serious credentials, other than starting an anti-shoplifting company in Tampa or somewhere. They are just seeking face time, and have absolutely no credible expertise in this area. Anyone who does is making 90k$/year with one of the alphabet soup agencies, has a Top Secret clearence, and isn't saying shit to the media. I have seen far too many "terrorism experts" saying we can't win. FUD. If we eliminate Osama, we have already taken a major step, he is their bank. Sure we may have some dirt poor people in Pakistan and Afganistan pissed at us, but we will have seriously degraded the Tango's capabilities by killing Osama. Rest assured, evil will not win, and we will prevail. God bless America, and God help our enemies.

This being said, what these people are doing is extortion, and it is going to end badly for them(read prison time). Regardless of whether or not they knew it was stolen, the are the owners of stolen property and must return it to the rightful owner. If they paid for it, well SUCKS FOR THEM. As for thier charge that they will "destroy it", this is where the extortion comes in. To hold a threat over someone for an action or money is the basic premis for extortion, so it's not looking good for them. Scotland Yard is gonna own their ass.

..that the Kursk was carrying any sort of "test" weapon. Loosely quoting Razor's Maxim, "All things being equal, the simplest solution is usually correct." Russia doesn't have the cash to keep most of its subs from rusting in their shipyards, much less to pour into R&D. The speculation that they fired some "new" torpedo and it either blew up in the tube, or turned back on the sub is pure bunk. It is widely known that the Russians went from stable solid fuel torpedoes, to a much more volatile, liquid fuel torpedo. What probably happened was some untrained crewmember, made a catastrophic mistake (it was a conscript, cherry crew), and the sympathetic explosion destroyed the sub. As for the notion that any one survived. Don't make me laugh. Most where incinerated in the second explosion, those who weren't had their lungs ripped out as the explosion burned up all the oxygen. If someone was luck enough to survive this, they most certainly drown seconds later. Stop all the conspiracy talk, its bullshit from "unnamed" sources.
