The single biggest annoyance for web today (to me) is all the damn sites that autoplay video just because you view a page. I want a setting that stops all media, video/audio from autoplaying.
I welcome an attempt to revive the LoTR universe, but please don't retell the same stories. We already have really good movies that cover the books, and it would be a huge waste to tell the same stories in 1 hour series format. bleh. Expand on what those stories created and tell new stories with the same characters. I'd tune in to watch that.
One of the best decisions ever by Canonical is to drop that failed UI. IT was a complete cluster F, from the very beginning. The ui itself was awful. BYE!
Net neutrality regulations simply setup government as the controller with open pockets to big business. Let the internet be free. If you don't like what a provider is doing, don't subscribe to them. Use your wallet to vote, not give government even more power.
Absolutely agree with this. I bought the V10 and then the V20 over a Samsung because it had the 2nd screen and a removable battery and the microsd. Now without the 2nd screen and removable battery, it's exactly like every other phone, plus a bump in the display and or cameras. The 2nd screen is a great feature on the V20 and love it. The main screen is off and I can see my notifications, battery level, time, etc. I also use it often for turning on the flashlight at night, when turning on the main screen would give me night blindness, while I'm fumbling around in the dark.
The V30 is just like every other phone now. No reason to buy it.
The reason that universities keep raising tuition costs is because of the abundant number of loans out there and students using them to pay for tuition costs. If those heavily subsidized loans dried up, tuition would eventually come back down. Students couldn't get loans, and couldn't pay the prices and the number of students going to school would slow down and universities would start to feel the hit. When there is a basically infinite supply of cheap money (government loans), then there is ZERO reason for universities to lower tuition. In fact, they would be stupid to do so.
Didn't your parents ever teach you that nothing in life is free. The reason it's "free" is because the government is stealing money from every citizen to pay the universities to stay open. Teachers don't work for nothing, janitors that clean the classrooms don't work for free, etc. etc. Wake up.
The best way to reform those massive government agencies, is to eliminate them. The Constitution was a limit on government, we should adhere to that ideal.
Some people are actually gullible enough to think that "net neutrality" is the intention of the bill to begin with. The intention is to slowly but surely allow the government to sensor the internet. Just look at what the UN is proposing today. Just because you oppose the government getting it's hands on freedom of the internet, doesn't make you a corporate love child. Wake the hell up people. The government is the root of almost all the problems we have today. If you don't like Comcast...stop paying them money. Go elsewhere. duh. There are always alternatives to suckballs corporations, but when the government get's it's hands on you...you are a slave to it.
After Learning the Syntax, the VERY next thing to do is run far far away from Java. It's a disaster of a platform. RUN!!! Save yourself. If you really enjoy pain, then use Java. If you like making the simple problems very complex, use Java. If you like waiting for app servers to restart a lot...use Java. If you like lots of complicated and noisy xml files just to do simple things, use Java. If you like using lots of resources to serve up simple pages, use Java. Other than that...Java is great!
"Findings from the report point to the continued growth of attacks through Web applications. Web application vulnerabilities continue to make up the largest percentage of the reported vulnerability volume, with roughly 78 percent of all vulnerabilities resulting from them." That is just stupid. It's like saying the code that the folks at CNN put into their pages is responsible for vulnerabilities in the browser itself. dumb. I think this man is confused between what a web browser is and what a web application is.
I have to agree. Syfy sounds like a some cutesy pre-teen comic book character name. Then again....this is the same channel that shows 'pro' wrestling ?!!? wtf.
This sounds like the beginning of the end of the channel. They must be following the AIG's of the world.
1. Bring about company FAIL. 2. Get bailed out. 3. Profit.
What about Congress that voted YES to allow Bush and boys to do this clearly unconstitutional warrant less wire-taping. Obama voted YES on this as well.
Carter started it back in the day, Clinton continued it, Bush embraced it, Congress said it was illegal, Obama said it was bad...then voted for it. Aren't we all lucky to have spineless pigs ignoring the Constitution.
excited? heh. Nothing we do will "save the planet" Earth has a date of destruction set with the Sun eating it in about 5 billion years. Why must we be all consumed with "saving the planet" on a daily basis? It's such a useless and pointless endeavor to "save the planet".

That's about as open as you can get.

The last thing we need right now is the government getting it's hands all over the internet via some trojan called Net Neutrality.
I really like SGU more than the other Stargate shows. This completely sucks! Not much of a reason to watch syfy now at all.

--Do you think he'll get to the bottom of and stop the Wiretaps on US Citizens?
What makes you think he will stop this program? Obama voted FOR it!
America got hoodwinked into electing a Marxist into office. We'll see how far he takes it the first few years. All hail Komrade Hussain Obama!
that's good enough reason for me to never use it.
Barr is a whackjob for trying to get a state to follow and enforce it's own laws? Yah I can see how that's just completely insane!

There is no need to form a new party. A party that actually believes in the US Constitution already exists. It's called the Libertarian party.

oh really? lol. Ever hear of the Inquisition? Absolutely no civil liberties abused there eh?
Bet you feel good voting for Obama...being that he's the same as Bush. Surprise! Democrats aren't actually different.
