  5. considering that the best code is the one you don't write, i'd say LOC is a horrible, horrible metric.

    at work, our main product is roughly 2 million LOC (not counting blank lines, lines with only comments, preprocessor statements...)

    considering that so far any class i've tried to simplify was down by *at least* 95% (not exaggerating, in some cases i straight up *removed* classes because they were duplicated), i'd say the actual code is less than 100k. Possibly on the order of 10k.

  7. RPL/sysRPL do not use "operators" nor have any concept of 'precedence'. It is all evaluated in postfix notation

    if you really want infix or prefix operators though, you can define your own. Even at runtime.

    content adaptive backlight control was hardcoded *on*

    now the screen fluctuates in brightness when the content changes. It's very distracting and *can not be disabled*.

    yeah you can unlock the bootloader and they give the sources but good luck having all features work (in some versions the camera won't work, or the gps or whatever)

    i don't spend money on anything "extra" besides the bare essentials. My main vehicle is a 20 year old motorbike i got for $1500 with 30k miles on it.

    and if you compare a top-tier gpu with a console, you're really out of touch

    ... skype, it downloaded ~230 MB worth of programs and libraries, presented me with an interface that looks like it's 1995 all over again... ...and didn't work. I sent messages, they never got delivered (while the software did not report the failure) and i never received messages.

    I didn't even *dare* try voice/video.

    Unless i'm mistaken in my interpretation of statistics, this is a complete failure. In this case, i'd like to know the chance that intercourse will lead to pregnangy, using this method (and only this method)
