I've done 100+ days even on crappy hardware - stuff where you get a data loss writing to the HDD so have to keep it mounted read only. Stuff where the CPU fan runs at 60dB, and the whole machine vibrates. I still ran it as a firewall for months on end though, only to have a brownout and have it reboot
Surely a little onconvienence and loss of a tiny it of liberty for a few people is worth it is we can stop terrorists. Wont somebody think of the children?
All corporations and large companies do, but when I was getting interviewed for my job It was a bit worrying to know one of the panel was a pschologist.
A blitzkreig to moscow should to the trick. A few diplomats up the railroad to get zone of control, followed by some armors, and take them by surprise.
Would you pay for it? How much? Would you *really* pay for it even if you can get it for free?
The BBC is in a pretty unique position to be the first to roll out online sales - as they dont rely on adverts. Of course they'd never justify giving out free content to america - reducing the money BBC America et. al. would pay at the cost of the license payer.
A BBC micro and a turtle is all you need. Simply write a postscript - turtle filter (we did the reverse as Bsc coursework) and away you go. Want colour? Use 3 turtles.
It's a shame that as one part of the government expands its OSS use, another part Implements the DMCA

In fact it's the ugliest thing in my room.

What, you dont really think they spend $50,000 on a toilet seat, $40,000 on a hammer do you? How else would they fund Area 51?
It's a placebo in'it. Makes granny happy but doesnt do shit. Bit like grandad really.
The new Dr Who should be Will Smith!
Unless he's tied up being the next James Bond
The terrorists won (in america) a long time ago. Knock a yank down and he stays down.
Or the terrorists

Cue dozens of posts about how Nigeria should concentrate on fixing its own problems on earth before launching into space
It is isn't it? Most of them seem to be left wing loonys
Amazing how many people still use windows AND explorer

A mandatory 0-day work week, with 0-day warez to keep us busy!

The fight for privacy begins at home
Or just use linux, which is much easier.
They do provide large pictures of priests sitting on a tube telling us we love a sunday service though
