Seriously their only real job skill is selling their own self worth to their bosses, or board of directors.

Second, since they insist on having the ability to https, in reality they probably aren't the kind of people you want to be working for in the first place. So I would recommend leaving, because it reflects the nature of their character, as opposed to that being a specific behavior.

I haven't read Susskind yet, but I have read General Relativity by Dirac.
According to Dirac's, the singularity will never actually occur because of time and space dilation. The stellar matter will accelerate towards the singularity but never actually reach it. And never is an appropriate term since according to Hawking the black holes have a finite lifetime and will eventually evaporate according to Quantum Mechanics.

Maybe you go through enough systems that you have to judge by series/model, but I don't. I get whatever the company wants me to have. But for my personal systems, and I do keep work separate from personal, I've been burned once by Dell, not again because there are plenty of other manufactures out there to choose from.

But the last laptop was completely underperformant relative to the IBM with the same hardware. So I have no reason to trust Dell now, no matter what they claim about hardware.
Also just checked out the XPS, I still don't see a 15" with 1920 x 1080, which is what I have now, so Dell still can't meet even my minimum requirements.
And actually they used to make such a beast, but that was more than 5 years ago.
In addition, I have looked at Alienware systems in the store, nice chassis, but nothing whatsoever impressive about the rest of the hardware or the performance; and the whizbang alienware customization software was show as shit.
I was never happy with the performance of any Dell laptop I had, either personally, or work provided.
I had a thinkpad with essentially identical hardware as my personal dell: same memory, GFX, CPU, screen rez, I think the HD on the Dell even speced faster. But the actual usage difference between the two was like night and day; so just don't buy a Dell.
I love my NT, I got a color before the Fire was ever released.
Many of the Ebooks I have are PDFs from DriveThruRPG, so color was a requirement and the Fire wasn't even an option at the time.
Now the Fire seemed, and still does seem when comparing it to the NTs & Colors, like an "Oh shit, people want this? We have to slap something together and get it out for the holiday season."
Once someone tells me they're in Mensa, they are immediately labeled as an idiot. This of course is due to the biggest idiots I have personally known were in Mensa. Then there's the Mensa investment club, its been a failure 20 years and counting.
So next time you meet Mensa member be sure to ask them how their investment club is doing.

I spent my entire school career dealing with teachers who essentially said: He can't be that smart, he has prove it. And of course by the time I proved it, it was time for the next class and the cycle started again.
Those fuckers need to be outright with prejudice with no severance and no golden parachute. But since that's not going to happen, a class action lawsuit by the parents against the fuckers is the only solution.
Fuck picketing and letter writing, nothing says disagreement like filing a class action lawsuit. And I'm certain with 1 in like 250 or so people in the US being lawyers, there are a few with children in school right now.
Once the lawsuit is filed, then start the negotiations from a position of strength. Just watch the how fast the "protect the children" fuckers roll over when they're the ones getting crucified for that shit. The'll learn real fast that shit cuts both ways.
Except this is not US jurisdiction and our bullshit surrendering of rights doesn't apply here.
I want to see what an EU court says about this. Under EU, Canadian or Mexican privacy laws are they allowed to prevent passengers from boarding a plane if they don't surrender their rights?
