What needs to happen is that merchants start offering anywhere 1-3% discounts for cash or debit card purchases. Only then we will see a decline in the use of credit cards.
Doesn't matter how these documents got to Uber: they got there. Nobody is saying they hired the guy because he was in possession of these documents. If they used anything from these leaked documents then (in my own opinion) they need to pay up. And it seems like they are paying up.
When I read this I first think of 2 things:
1. Who got paid to lobby for AT&T
2. Who had insider knowledge of this, and how much they made by investing in AT&T on the market. This is surely gonna affect the stock prices
Exactly. People don't understand that they already eat meat from animals injected with steroids, hormones, and antibiotics, raised in conditions full of filth and diseases. For those being afraid of cancer here is something to read if they have time: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/p...
Don't even try to convince someone on the internet that red meat is already a major contributor to various diseases, everyone has to do their own research.
I will eat lab grown meat if the taste is ok and the price is right. I would even eat insects if they are grown properly. Farming as we know it is not sustainable in a long run.
Agree. Also, I still think China is the real enemy here. Not because of the hacking, but because of espionage, especially industrial espionage. Ideologically there are differences the western world has with Russia, but culturally I think we are much more similar to them than to the countries in Asia.
Clinton - lies, kills, schemes, physically sick and potentially sociopath (she does pretend that she cares about people)
Trumps - lies, assaults women, cheats, psychologically not stable
Who do you want more?
Gross negligence? This does not require intent. In any case, Trump is right about one thing (not much else): the system is rigged. We are being trained not to expect any consequence for those in power.
Amazing how a company can be so careless. If they decide to put this on their phones it will be the end of iphone. I hate when people film at concerts as they will never watch it again, but some people want to do this. You want to take photos with your friends at a show? Forget that.
I like his music, but as a human being I liked him even more. He turned down British knighthood by saying "I would never have any intention of accepting anything like that, I seriously don't know what it's for. It's not what I spent my life working for."
Let's actually remember the story:
1. The women in question actually had consensual sex with Assange
2. Then few days after they wanted to report how he didn't use the condom: in case one he took off a condom during the intercourse, and in the other case he tricked the woman into having sex without a condom. In Sweden this constitutes a rape. He denies both allegations, so it is his word against theirs
3. By now all possible evidence is gone and there was no sign of violence.
And some things just turn to shit on their own or are shit to begin with. Example: look in the mirror.
The man created "Star Wars", made billions. Not a fan of the franchise but it is undoubtedly successful.
In reality, that also helps. He cannot promise a battery with infinite capacity. Cars running on gas need refueling too and sometimes, when I'm running low, I wouldn't mind knowing where the closest gas station is.
Not saying Tesla and Elon Musk will solve the world's problems, but they are trying to solve one or two while still making some profit. What do companies Exxonmobil or Chevron do for us? Really? Endless wars for oil, oil spills and other environmental impacts, price fluctuations and possibly many other negative factors.
I know almost everyone here will totally dis this news and make fun of it. Whatever. I welcome free education for those who can't afford it. I was lucky enough to get university education, but not everyone is that lucky. Even if 20 people learn something from these Microsoft courses, and it helps them land better jobs, I will be happy.
People killing people might not solve problems. Machines killing people might solve their problems of us wanting to eventually get rid of them. As soon as they realize we perceive them as a threat, and that we may want to get rid of them, they'll figure out it is us or them.
You say it's easy. Then why don't you go and do something with your lives? I only wish we had a few more of people like this. Yes, he is rich, and he is planning to become even richer. At the same time, he is investing HIS money into something he believes in. Only hope he starts looking into things like hyperloop, and to make that financially viable.
Maybe the ui is fine, but Samsung bloatware is notorious for killing the performance. Their phones have amazing specs that fail to deliver.

As Eclipse IDE user maybe I'm bias, but at least things are moving in the right direction
Seems like it more and more. Also, does anyone believe that they stopped snooping on everyone in the US and Canada?

But who's gonna be making the nets to be used to catch people jumping from the windows?

If there is any justice she will be indicted by the FBI. She evaded justice few times already, so I'm guessing it's gonna happen again.

On paper yes. In reality no. In 2007 planned attack on Fort Dix. 2011 attack on US troops at Frankfurt airport.

We can call it "People's Car", but just for the sake of being cool we can translate it to German and use that.

I didn't get the name, SHIV or something?
