And I bet superchargers are a losing proposition too, because where do you get the energy to spin the screw?
Protip: Sometimes the energy gained is greater than the energy used.
Protip: superchargers don't gain any energy, they increase the air the engine takes in thus allowing it to burn more fuel per rotation, all the additional energy comes from the increased fuel you burn. Any efficiency improvements come from increased compression or in a few circumstances from the reduced pumping losses because the compressor is more efficient than the piston is at moving air into the engine (though there aren't many designs this is true of and none in current production that I know of.)
At full throttle sure your gas powered turbo mazda makes more torque, but the diesel makes more torque at part throttle and lower rpms. Try driving a similarly built turbo diesel, youl'l find it drives much nicer.
More specifically, I believe it is the order of operations that is implementation defined. So this line could increment i by one, or could increment it by one and then return it to the original value. The code could just as well set i to 0 or 1.
It returns the original value then increments i by one. i++ is a postincrement if it were written ++i it would increment i by one then return the new value.
I'm not sure a find for contempt of court plays by anywhere near the same rules as a debt. Judges have a lot of freedom with contempt of court charges. Did you know that there are actually certain conditions where they can jail you for contempt for refusing to provide them with incriminating information (note: I said information, not evidence or testimony.)
Brake grease is real. gotta lube the caliper bolts up or theyl'l stick and the calliper will drag wearing out one of your brake pads faster than the other.
I wouldn't mind my car sounds good without a muffler, I'm just too lazy to remove the hangers to take the muffler down. If the thief wants to give me a free upgrade that i wanted to do myself anyway so be it. now if he wanted to steam my valuable catalyitic converter that would be annoying. While mine is hollow the clamps holding it to the rest of the exhaust system are very nice and aint cheap.
The problem is the most you can reasonably expect is for a court to provide you with is the cancellation of your contract... which Telus is offering for free without the hassle of court, just refuse to switch to the 65$ 1GB plan and they'll happily cancel you. Sure you might get the court to pay your lawyer cost but that's not guaranteed to actually cover the entire cost and you might get punitive damages but that's not guaranteed either.
I have a clearance and a felony assault would rather ruin that..
It probably ruined it less than ya think. for security clearance they still see expunged records. I also know someone with a felony assault arrest and top secret security clearance with no problem.
I got arrested 2 years ago in my car and they had to ask for permission to search my car, not only did they ask but they had paperwork they asked me to sign before they could search it.
Here all that is required to search a car is probable cause. A warrant is only needed for a residence and that can be easily bypassed if you rent.
Here (Louisiana) your vehicle is considered an extension of your residence and renting does not let them bypass the need for a warrant you have certain rights in your residence whether you rent or own it.
Swerving or the smell of alcohol is probable cause to conduct a DUI test. The smell of pot or noticing a pipe in the ashtray is probably cause to search a car for drugs.
These are examples where they've already found something. Swerving and smell of alcohol they've already found evidence of alcohol. Smell of pot they've already found the pot. They can't just search your car because they think you have pot, they need evidence of pot before they can search without permission.
Legally you have to inform an officer if you have a firearm in the vehicle. If you don't cooperate or the cop has "suspicion" that you're lying, he has probably cause to search for a firearm.
I don't believe this is correct. Otherwise the cops could just claim they suspect everyone is lying (its their job to suspect people of lying) and search anyone they want and never have to worry about warrants. Not to mention the fact that there is nothing illegal about having a gun in your car.
For active duty I don't believe you ever have any time you could claim was outside of their responsibility. They provide housing, food, health care basically everything. If you want you may live off base but usually for active duty they pay for that too. Working for the military you are never working outside of your military responsibilities.
What would the evolutionary rationale be behind reasoning like that? Sorry, makes no sense.
The desire to avoid wasting the resources of the rest of the herd in in what he views to be a futile attempt at rescuing him. There actually is a strong evolutionary pressure to commit suicide in certain instances. Survival of the fittest is about survival of the fittest genetics not survival of the fittest individual. All you must do to achieve survival of the fittest is protect your genes not your person. That can include your own children or even your siblings children.
Your story reminds me of when a friend of mine tried to kill herself then called me. She had asked some passersby (who were black) if she could use their phone, they offered to call the police she said no and called me instead, I get there and ask them to call the cops they do while I sit there holding her wrists. The cops show up and one of the guys says "look the cops are here" I looked at the cop car turned my head back and looked at them and they were gone. I thought to myself "hmm that was rude" until the cop came up and gave me the third degree. At that point I was kinda afraid he was going to arrest me for helping save someones life.
But you still get something from which it's possible to create and redistribute a (nearly) exact copy. Same for video, which I forgot to list.
Same with software (in fact you get something from which it is possible to create an exact copy in every respect). Without the source however modification is more difficult (although not impossible).
Only with a half decent compiler and better performance. (hint: you only have to compile what you need when you need it, not everything at install time)
This particular part made me think of a day when every program comes with a redesign.exe. Simply click the button, and it scans every piece of hardware on your computer, and then rewrites every optimization in it to perfectly fit your computer. Programs that streamline to your hardware, maybe even change the OS's they work under. It's written for Windows, you're running OSX? No problem, it'll rewrite itself as an OSX program. Though, that's probably still decades off. But AI seems to me to be the way to ultimate compatibility.
This exists today without ai. See java with JIT or even AOT (ahead of time). There are of course some issues with it but the technology is there.
My girlfriend has an eating disorder... maybe I should sue the holders of the reference mass for causing her to feel like she weighs more than she actually does!
Nuclear material may not have legs, but it can be in groundwater, and water tends to move around. Nuclear material from nuclear power plants generally does not end up in groundwater... Unless you're talking about the nuclear material you can find in coal.
Your oversimplification and whitewashing of the significance of radioactive material contamination of our habitats are part of why there are many rabid anti-nuke people who would melt your face right off for saying what you did. Yes, and you could probably find a lot of rabid anti-technology people who would melt my face off for using a computer. They're still insane no matter how many faces they melt off.
Got news for you... You're on earth as well, and things that get airbourne or into water, have a way of ending up where you are too. I've got news for you. Earth is filled with this "nuclear" stuff. What do you think keeps the core hot? (http://berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2003/12/10_heat.shtml). Nuclear material doesn't exactly grow legs and walk around. Contained nuclear material tends to stay contained. Yes it could spread but "someplace safe" usually means if it spreads you've got an area a mile or so across that people are scared to live in. So we move out, animals move in and thrive and eventually the scared people move back in kill all the animals and go back to whatever they were doing before someone gave them an excuse to get upset.
If Bush did what Hitler did, it would be like he would send Dick Cheney to go out and murder Nancy Pelosi
Hey tried having Cheney murder Harry Whittington but it didn't work so well...

Obviously this is the replacement for the Wii, but what will Nintendo call this one?
No, but yours probably is a bit shorter.

Sucks to be those thieves, mufflers are made out of stainless steel or rarely aluminum.
Walk into any US Intel / Base Ops / Command Post in the world, and you'll find CNN on a big flat-screen up on the wall.
I tried this, now i'm in gitmo.

iirc courts have upheld that copyright applies to machine instructions in both binary form and source form equivalently.
