Who fucking mod'ed this shit up?!? The anti-science global warming astro-turfers are at it once again! Drill baby Drill, its all a conspiracy masterminded by Al Gore with those communist Democrats/UN/scientists/rest of the world to enslave us and our children!

Good organic milks are actually pasteurized at a lower temperature, I can not find this taste test in their archive, but it appears the poster has made up his own reasoning. The reason that most organic milks taste different is the cows eat very different diets than their conventional counterparts. In fact with many organic milks the taste varies by season as the grasses/diet changes with the seasons. I would be willing to bet the taste testers didn't like the organic milk because it actually had flavor, in comparison to the bland over pasteurized conventional milk everyone has been accustomed to.

Wow, with all the shit we keep hearing about turning off the internet in Egypt...It seems we are not far behind, this sounds pretty damn close to me, just a typo away. Alright this is DNS, not the internet/IP but how many of us know the IPs of sites or worse how many of the 'others' out there know even know what an IP is, DNS might as well be the internet.

Wonderful idea, thats just what we need, tons of aerospace engineers with no jobs! Create good paying jobs for these engineers and the education part will take care of itself. Ok a bit of an oversimplification, but if keep our engineering departments strong and make sure there is a good math/science base, students will go to where the jobs are.

  5. Yawn... on Nokia's iPhone, No Seriously · · Score: 2, Insightful

Come on what is the big deal about this thing. The iPhone has a touch-screen interface, which is really its great innovation. Nokia has made a touch-screen interface to their OS, the iPhone has shown its a great way to have a small communication device with a small footprint. What do you expect for a touch-screen phone other one big display? Granted this will probably be much better in many ways for, more hackable, more bleeding edge hardware/features, but its just the inevitable, big screen with few buttons, buttons are wasted space on very small form-factor devices. Touch screens are where little phones with lots of usability are going.

Its been known for a long time now that both Mirosoft and the Cell where to have an IBM power based core... So build it up with some vague hype, and you get this article. Of course IBM gave their most recent power core to both of them, did you really think that either MS or Sony wanted an old PPC core? They both are looking and paying for the bleeding edge power core, which is what they got. Did anyone tell them Apple is going to be using the same CPU core too, oh no!!!! Geez what hype.

  7. Re:Completely impractical but really cool concept on Network Aware Screensavers? · · Score: 1

My roomate and I have discussed how damn cool this would be. With way to many computers and monitors in one room next to eachother such a screen saver, well it could get no cooler. Doing it over X seems rather complicated (not too bad for dumb x-terminals though). It would be really nice to do it without a master server, so just a bunch of desktops sitting next to eachother would just always sync up, a person can be sitting at any one of them, and any of them can be down, and it still does its neat looking shit. No matter how you cut it though, it would be pretty hairy. I am crossing my fingers that someone has already found one, and even better, with some hardware accelerated goodness.

The clinton administration is currently trying to get Russia to change those treaties. I was just reading another article about it today. Looks like France, Russia, and France are all getting pissed. Here is a that article
