I think this is mostly about playlists that are refreshed every x days. Say you have a playlist called "Hot Dance Tracks". Fans of the genre can subscribe, and get a new selection of tracks every week. If you have 400 000 subscribers, some people might be willing to pay to have a track included in next week's hotness.
If you can only watch it by using their new coin, they probably want to build up a user-base. This will hopefully raise the price of the coin, making their pre-mined coins a lot more valuable.
Since I have your attention now, this might be a good place to post this request. I'd love to have the option of opening links in discussions in a new tab.
I just wanted to see what the new lay-out was and continue with reading the rest of the thread. Now I accidentally forgot to "open in new tab", saw the picture and had to use the "Back" button in the browser. Losing the position in the discussion in the process.
Links in the comment part of an article are almost always something you would want to read in addition to the rest of the discussion.
Just my two cents. From reading your other replies, you seem to have a lot of ideas for improving the site already.
Not the other poster, but I guess it would be something similar to how I would do it (in The Netherlands):
- I go to my bank's site and log into my account - Select the amount I want to transfer and the account I want to transfer it to. - Press send and wait for the confirmation code that arrives by SMS after a few seconds
This won't cost me a cent.
Alternatively I can go to the ATM machine of any bank and withdraw the money if I want to pay in cash. Also free.
WNYC's Radiolab recently did a story on this subject too. The program is split into 3 parts, and the last one is about these foxes. To get a better sense of what the program is about, I would suggest listening to the whole episode. An hour well spent.
I don't think this is quite right. Last I heard, it would be free-to-play too.
There would be the normal gold that you could get by grinding, and a Real Money (RM) currency. Some items could only be bought with the RM, things like experience-bonus potions and other consumables.
The nice thing would be that the RM could also be freely traded, so that someone who didn't want to buy the RM could trade found items for the RM.
Hopefully Mythos will get picked up by another studio, because I enjoyed the beta quite a lot.
If you scroll ALL the way down, past the blurred out answers and the advertisements, the questions and answers are there in plain text. Still not a very good way to run a site, though.
Douwe Egberts is from The Netherlands, actually. They co-invented Senseo together with Philips, another Dutch company. Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senseo
I guess for some reason the Europeans have to wait at least 2 more weeks. I haven't seen any exact release dates yet, they seem to range from 20060114 to 20060201. I don't understand why this delay has to be built in. I live in Holland, and it's not like the whole game or manual has to be translated to Dutch.
The company I work for got charged copying documents (Stichting Reprorecht in Dutch). We don't own a copier, but we do have a fax. We never use that function, since we don't care if we have to read from a screen.
My boss is of the vocal sort, so he sent an angry letter to the people that wanted the cash. Enclosed in the letter was the copy button he ripped of the fax. We didn't have to pay the tax:)
Why send a letter?

You missed the perfect opportunity to use "csspools"

Or a form of synesthesia. I read the summary and smell bullshit.
They should get Brad Pitt as a spokesperson. "Watts in the box?"
Thanks for the link!

I'm guessing about 42%

An earlier (2006) piece about David Cope's EMI program was part of the Radiolab podcast. You can listen to it at:

Some footage from the original Kittinger jump are incorporated in this awesome music video by Boards of Canada:

I resent that slanderous accusation.
I saw a very interesting bit on selective media coverage on the excellent program Newswipe a few weeks back. It can be found here: http://www.ifiwatch.tv/en/video/2009/04/bbc-newswipe-g20-london

It's also in the (excellent) audio commentary.
Try goPod (http://gopod.free-go.net./ It unlocked the volume control on my (4g) iPod. It's available for Mac, Windows and Linux (with source).
What is worse, letting Bob also see competitors, or Bob ONLY seeing competitors?

You don't say?
Unfortunately the map designer did not put in the ring. If it was really "inspired" by our friend, I guess he would not have forgotten that.
