  1. good news on Lab Created Diamonds Come to Market · · Score: 1

I think its great. A diamond as stone does not have much value in comparison to Gold and other precious minerals. The diamond cartel has created a false monopoly and people are getting swindled everyday! Its about time people realize this.

  2. ISO 9000 Compliance on Light-Weight Software Process for ISO 9000? · · Score: 2

First of all who ever wrote that ISO9000 is a complete joke does not know what he/she is talking about. I work for a medical device manufacturing company and let me tell you I sure as hell would not want a medical device being used on me if the the company manufacturing the device was not ISO 9000/13485 compliant. As for your question, remember the software only has to be validated and a few quick test scripts should do the trick. The hardest part is just writing out validation procedure or work instruction. I do some ISO consultation on the side as well. If you need any help then PM me and I will help you out!

  4. the story on George Dantzig, 1914-2005 · · Score: 3, Interesting

I remember taking my required Probablistic Models in Operations Research course back in 2003. I wasnt doing too well in the class and miserably failed my first test. The second half the semester was spent on the simplex method. I remember the class before the test our professor, rather than reviewing decided to mention the names of some prominent Mathematicians. George Dantzing was one of them. How I despised him at the time for nearly ruining my academic life! I would always screw up some thing while trying to do the simplex method. The pivot tables etc. Just too much to keep track of in my head I suppose. I studied my ass off to learn the simplex method. One hour before the exam, I had figured it out. I was so happy that I went searching for a program for my ti89 calculator to check my answers. Low and behold victory was mine!! I will never forget that day cause I strugged so much to learn the simplex. Only later did I realize the significance of what this man had done. RIP

You fail to mention that the king might have been Hindu, but the majority of Kashmiris were Muslim and either wanted to side with Pakistan (Islamic State) or be independent. Let the Kashmiris be free and autonomous then, since that was the agreement afterall.

  7. Public H.S in the U.S are a joke on Bill Gates Proclaims US High Schools Obsolete · · Score: 1

I agree with Bill Gates here. High school was such a joke. Little has be done to get by. Morever, I have seen cases where failing student have moved on to the next level just to get them out. Japan, UK and other Eurpoean schools provide a better challenge. The only reason the U.S stays on top in many science and technology related fields is because we spend so much money on research through 100's of Phd programs across the nation. The top echelon of R&D allows us to be leading in science and technology. I wish I would have been introduced to advanced concepts early. Unfortunately, I was not so like millions of others just taught myself, went to a university and graduated as an engineer.

  8. horrible, just horrible on Editorial: On the SpikeTV Video Game Awards · · Score: 1

After an hour I switched to watching reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I thought I would be seeing more people from the video game industry, yet I saw a bunch of hollywood stars that didnt know anything about games. This was the worst award show I have ever seen, bar none.

  9. not so bad - medical outsourcing on Outsourcing Information Security · · Score: 2, Insightful

Dont you think the people in India, China and Pakistan are concerned about sercurity as well? I mean think about it. If there is a continuous lapse in secrurity and you they caught, they go out of buisness. The fact is that to stay in business these offshore companies need to ( and some do) realize that we might loose buisness if we let all this personal information be readily available for our employees to view and share.
