    I was trying out this new site i heard about AOL.com and everything was great for awhile but then internet explorer started acting funny, as well as couple of the things. I tried to uninstall it and then my internet connection stopped working at all. please help, i really need my email.

    which like I've already pointed out is more 'electronics' than CS I thinks that's called engineering, electrical engineer to be exact. And it pays well. I have a friend with a Masters in EE and he makes bank. He drives an Audi TT roadster and he's only like 26-7. he's had it for a few years now. I think he bought it new in 03.

    Man, I've been addicted to gaming since ms pacman, man. When I first got my hands on my 2600 I played it for 72 hours straight. It eventually was retired when smoke was emmitted from the system. I've been getting my much needed fix every since. I have upgraded to new drugs over the years as the my mind grew a tolorence for the old ones. I went through the NES, SNES, and N64 easily. When I got a hold of a Playstation, all bets were off. It wasn't until I got a hold of this new derivitive drug called PC gaming that it completely destroyed my life.

    I have since been through rehab several times until i finally kicked the habit. I have been sober almost 6 months now and I could not be happier. I wish I had cleaned up sooner, I lost my wife and my daughter to the habbit.

    it looks to me that when the bits are perpendicular they make the rings wider. Does having the bits perpendicular allow for such a higher density that is compensates for the loss of the rings around the platter?

    it just works is true for a mac only because the amount and variety of hardware available for a mac is limited in comparison to wintel. when there is such a small number of variables, its easier for it to just work. it also helps if the manufacturers support the os out of the box.

    in las vegas (cox system) the cable card cost the consumer just as much as a box, has less features, is more of a pain, and pays me less to install. Thats why i always recommend a set top instead, someday that may change but not now.

    yeah, i would agree with you if it weren't for something the parent post said. "...without any contract between us..."

    I think that is the relevent part of his post. I agree, if there is no contract, the cable company cannot bind him to anything. now if he had a contract, ie paid for basic but stole everything else or ran a line from the neighbor, that would be different.

    With most of the calls to my home phone number being solicitations for credit-fixing schemes and satellite-TV systems (so much for the Do-Not-Call list), if I ever go cell-only I'm not entirely sure I'd want to keep my phone number.


    You do know that telemarketers are not suppose to call cell phone numbers. If you make sure to tell them that I'm sure the calls would dwindle to nothingness.

    I've had those problems too. I've also had a problem with cascading menus that won't go away, are improper refreshes.

    I too have had to deal with cancer. Mine being testicular cancer, I am very interested in the results of the study, and I hope that I survive long enough to be able to take the drugs. Since my type of cancer is not malignant (still not sure what that means) I think my chances are good.

    Hey, i went to sunncom.com out of curiosity and look at some of their products, well all of them actually since they only have six. I found their prices to be outragously high. Five hundred dollars for a Matrox G400, yeah sure, I'll take two.

    How much are you paying for gas in NC? I live in CA and the price of regular unleaded is about $2.15 per gallon and supreme is circling just below $2.40; it really hurts.

    I think you're confused. Photoshop does not compete with Draw at all. Photoshop is a raster graphics program, ie. a painting program, whereas, Draw is a vector graphics program, ie. illustration. Illustrator and Draw would be a better comparison since they are both vector programs. Corels equivilent to Photoshop is Paint.

    I don't know about you but I have seen many cars that needed rebooting. Ever seen someone pushstart a car because it just died on them. What about the car that needs the timing readjusted so that it doesn't choke itself and turn off, they need restarting, too. I'll grant you the part about the groceries, though, that is something that I have never seen.

    Well one tape = 166709 units * 64 (k) / 1024 / 1024 = ~10.175GB.


    That figure is per tape, the actual shipment has 1,139 tapes, I think. 10.175GB * 1,139 = ~11.6TB. That *is* impressive bandwith.
