  1. Unauthorized Computer Systems Access on New Surveillance System May Let Cops Use All Of The Cameras (engadget.com) · · Score: 1

With the rulings on accessing open wifi access points that just because it's not password protected it's not implied that you have authorization to use it. Wouldn't a system like this follow that same train of thought and therefore be a felony to implement?

Trademark infringement is the unauthorized use of a trademark or service mark (or a substantially similar mark) on competing or related goods and services .

Unless Google's business is running for Congress I don't see how they would have a case for a lawsuit. Trademark has very limited scope compared to copyright and patent. You don't just trademark something and get exclusive rights to it for everything.

  3. Re:Live Concert Videos on Unofficial Answers: Why Does YouTube Seem So Biased? (vortex.com) · · Score: 3, Insightful

This is a prime example of why I am skeptical when people complain about getting unfair copyright notices on Youtube. There are a lot of individuals out there that don't have a clue how the various IP laws work yet think they're experts.

I'm not saying that Youtube is perfect. I've seen some actual abuses and false claims made but for every legitimate complaint I see a hundred instances where someone did something like mix their wedding footage with some Katy Perry songs, upload it to Youtube and then wonder why they got a copyright strike for their totally original material.

Why can't I do that, but other people post concert videos and even full albums, full music DVD rips, etc. and they don't get taken down?

If the guy driving ahead of you is over the speed limit on the highway and they don't get pulled over that doesn't mean it's suddenly ok for you to speed too.

His whole campaign basically depends on being the biggest piece of shit candidate running to make all the small people feel like their faults aren't really all that bad and maybe even ok.

Producing currency isn't what makes more money. Unless we're seeing deflation the production of currency is a financial loss. When the government produces more physical currency they don't make more money, they simply spread out the value of the existing money a little farther.
