I was grossly overweight to the point that the doctor was worried so I said to myself that this cannot go on. I changed the amount of food I ate from large dishes to normal dishes and skipped any evening meals except vegetables. I also picked up daily one hour walks or swimming. During 4 months I lost somewhere close to 100 pounds and felt great.
Thats why Windows never even got a chance to start on my netbook, installed Fedora right away. Now I have a useless sticker at the bottom that says I'm a proud Windows license owner...
In local news police clocked a driver going 121km/h with the radar while the driver claimed to be going 85km/h. Driver was issued a ticket. Next day police found that the radar gun was not calibrated correctly and contacted all who were issued a ticket from the previous day.
This sounds like the Finnish version of RIAA who in co-operation with the Ministry of Education went out and told students that you can recognize illegal music by the cheap price (think russian mp3 store here) and that they should trust only online stores that are expensive.
First of all, wikipedia by it's nature is not supposed to have higher-ups, but an administrator group is a technical necessity. These administrators are motivated by the growing popularity of wikipedia in two ways: they gained more power ("Cmon! I'm an administrator on the english wikipedia! Wow!") or in other words, the social status of their administrator title got more important. This is bound to make the admins feel a lot more different, even if unconsciously or unwittingly. They try to protect wikipedia and overreact, get overly paranoid and lose focus of their true goal.
Yeah, but they won't still get any more chicks you know:)
I've seen three huge security guards pepperspraying a small drunk person (they actually missed and sprayed an innocent bystander instead). From what I saw, they didn't really try to catch the guy but went instead directly for the spray.
This is exactly what I would proclaim if I was able to decrypt the traffic and want users to think that I couldn't. Maybe not all whatever terrorists would fall for this but some would.
If my memory serves me correct 10 minutes after the first news of the school shooting in Finland people on IRC already knew about who the shooter was and had digged up all sorts of info on him before the press and police.

Being an European and having lived for some time in central Europe rail is the most convinient form of transportation, atleast in Germany and France.
This was the case with the Finnish telecom Sonera which also tracked calls to find out who was leaking information in the company.
What a great way to find out about company secrets. And if they are on an encrypted volume? Dare you travel there anymore?
And who would hide in a major city with a billboard? Just hide in some other smaller but not small enough city.
Plants. Seriously. They make the office look nice and if you select them carefully they might even help keep the air inside a little better.
Can it be made into a spaceship that can change shape?
