The effects of ketamine last around an hour or two, after which point you'll be almost 100% back to where you started. You might if you've had a lot notice some (very) minor effects for a bit longer, but certainly not to the point of impairing you in any way. And the effects are very dose dependant - in small amounts it doesn't make you antisocial; after a point the effects certainly change, but that's typically from a single larger hit, not a series of small lines.
Snorting it (don't ingest it, it causes stomach cramping and is generally unpleasant) won't be fatal on its own, you can't generally take enough to cause anything other than blacking out. It's used as an anaesthetic on adults as well due to it being about the safest anaesthetic in terms of possible allergic reactions - it's often used when the patient's medical records aren't available. Indeed as an anaesthetic is has unique properties that make it valuable.
Recreationally it's also the fastest growing drug (well, other than cocaine) in the UK as well.
Except for the one I develop which has all of this and a lot more (multiple stocks, multiple indicators, user-chosen frequencies, drawing tools etc etc) in a web page. Still, Google's chart is nice.
I'd disagree somewhat; self-confidence can be the result of education, but that's in no way the only way. I'm sure there are far more self-confident athletes or gangsters out there than Nobel laureats;)
I agree on the finding friends thing; but school provides a much greater melting-pot of people that helps expose kids to a lot of things that a more homogenous environment wouldn't.
I'm fully aware that homeschooling groups go out and do all of these things. When did I say otherwise? But are you trying to tell me that the kid is likely to have the same variety of socialisation through this than as at school?
I also don't think teachers should raise kids. But there are plenty of studies out there showing that parents are a tiny factor in how their kids end up - kids are shaped by their genes and their peers.
However sadly, your kid's social development is far more important in determining whether they'll be successful or happy later in life than a good education.
No. Inflation is caused by the decay of a scalar field which goes from a higher energy state to a lower one... this releases vast amounts of energy which drives inflation. I think this field is the Higgs field, which gives particles their mass.
It probably will last, as they tried to levy charges on using other banks' ATMs a few years ago and the public outcry forced them to reconsider - hence the "you will not be charged for using this ATM" notice on most ATMs.
There are no African hamsters - the breeds are Syrian, Russian, Chinese and Roborovski, they're all desert animals and don't really hibernate, although they have a torpid state they can enter if in very, very bad conditions.
No, he's saying that you don't understand that spacetime itself is expanding everywhere equally all at once. There is no center. Imagine the Big Bang as causing a 2x2 picture to come into existance, and expansion causing each pixel to turn into 2x2 pixels every so often. There is no centre, each pixel expands uniformly. This is fairly basic cosmology, I'm sure a quick search will lead you to the usual surface of a balloon analogy.
Civ4 does have it, but to get round it you can use Daemon Tools and a little utility called SafeDisk4 Hider (as it uses the latest version that Daemon Tools doesn't support yet). Or at least, so I've heard...
Tell me about it. I work on doing stock charts for users around the world, which means that taking into consideration both the user's local DST and the market's DST rules - it's a bloody nightmare, and this change is going to mean more annoyances as Java doesn't have any mechanism to handle this sort of thing. I seriously wish they'd get rid of DST altogether.
There are three options for game length, so you can play a normal game, an epic game or a quick game which you're supposed to be able to complete in a session or two.
Too right, SMAC was far, far better than Civ III. Despite my massive addiction to SMAC when it came out and for years afterwards, I don't think I've ever bothered to finish a game of Civ III - it just didn't feel right.
Fingers crossed though that Civ IV looks like it might be a much better game to play...
Depends on how it's configured. The 60K rig at an outdoor party I went to a while back didn't hurt my ears at all afterwards - on the other hand a 4K rig inside with over-loud treble is painful to listen to after a minute or two.

Hardcore pornography isn't illegal at all in the UK. The law is pretty much the same as it is in the US.
I don't think you understand what heat death means, or the term open universe...
Haha, no you're not. Although I don't think that ever got given away in the end :)
With regards to horses, have a look at this news item :)

The WHO never did any such study, and in fact recently released a press release specifically stating that fact.

You can change a variable in a class to a property pretty easily without changing anything in any code using the class.
File objects are iterators now.
ArrayList<String> lists[] = new ArrayList<String>[5];
in Java because generics aren't properly supported in the JVM. Which is pretty annoying because it means you end up having to do
ArrayList<ArrayList<String>> = new ArrayList<ArrayList<String>>();
instead which is uglier and performs worse.

Of course "libertarians" themselves robbed the word from it's original meaning of an anarchosocialist i.e. far-left.

I've read that book, except it's called The Long Habit of Living.
The game itself is well worth the hassle though.

You can change how you talk, you can't change the colour of your skin. The two aren't similar at all!
