What they are going to over is a discount on a new windows 10 phone! So even if you have a broken windows 8 phone, you can trade it in for a windows 10 phone at a price of course. It's all marketing spin and hyperbole! That's what I read between the lines.
Amendment II:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
-- It's very clear and there is little room for interpretation here. But as we all know, the constitution is a lot like the bible, everyone has his or her own take! Charles Bukowski said it best, “The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.”
A bargain? I think it's rather expensive since Microsoft are just writing a few security patches as needed. Does it really cost 9 Million dollars to keep a very small team of programs writing patches for XP and Office 2003? Oh, and guess what? MS can sell the same patches to other companies that need XP supports! I believe this is going to be a big money maker for Microsoft.
I'd be more optimistic about this scenario, if we could at the very least stop killing ourselves over silly things like religion and oil. Only then would I be hopeful about a possible future with unlimited resources. We use a vast of our recourse to secure imaginary borders and fight or our imaginary God! No so hopeful:(
Sounds crazy, but that is exactly what would happen! Once we start running out of resources and space, we go into survival mode and revert to what ever it takes to survive -- if it means killing, so be it!
-- This is very insightful; Mother Teresa doubted the existence of God on a regular basis, but she kept doing her charitable work faithfully until the day she died. It gave her piece of mind; isn't that what we all want?
Apple doesn't get it anymore. Five years ago they were cutting edge on trends (maybe not on actual tech). Now they are a little behind. The trend isn't looking good.
My daughter had an older phone with an unlimited texting plan and 5 cents a minute talk plan for 15$ a month from T-mobile. I just gave her my old iPhone and put the SIM card in the iPhone and it worked. Most teen hardly talk on the phone these days. Not sure if T-Mobile still offers this plan.
It does work for me. I can switch between iMessage and text messages without a problem. My daughter has an iPhone without a data plan, and I can send her iMessages when she is connected to Wifi and when she is not, I simply turn off iMessage on my phone and send her plain texts and it works.
Parent was being sarcastic -- He/she actually meant the opposite :)
This was moderated as informative? Wow!

Good advice. Anonymous Dude, you're getting a DELL :)
What would be the amount of the refund? Currently OS X is free for Mac owners. Just wondering ..
Are the Chinese officials trying to score some celebrity porn?
Really?
MS has a much wider product line than you imply. Using Skype perhaps?
True, but many of their products don't make money. MS Office is their cash cow and Windows OS is the field upon which the cash cow grazes.
Can you sue without naming whose bare ass is online?
So not true! My 2008 MacBook Pro is fully 64bit and still runs the latest OS and will run the forthcoming OSX release.
Really? It's just as easy to install LibreOffice as it is to install MS Office.
funny!

I can only imagine the "real time" misunderstandings this new tech will bring! It would be amazing if it did work effectively!
Has anyone, who uses these apps, noticed diminished battery life?
when it deceives the user into buying shady and often worthless products.

Here is another story with visuals.

Why was it forked? What are the differences between KOffice and Calligra? Just curious to know if someone here has any insight.
I totally agree with you. Android runs very well on low spec hardware. Plus the low end phones of today were yesterday"s high-end!

What trend are they behind? Just curious.
