Also, as for the Xbox, yeah, it might be $149, but realize at this point, Microsoft is still supporting the console with a loss on every purchase, so it does not really tell us the cost of the HD components.
In the end though, I agree that Nintendo would be better off in the long run by supporting HD in the Revolution
Retarded mods! How can this be modded interesting!? How many times does it need to be pointed out that although they are sold below cost, MS does not lose any more money than they already have. The loss is a sunk cost and you are still adding $150 to their current bank account.
I know it does not need to be pointed out to most of the crowd here, but it is really bothersome how low the bar of stupidity can be lowered.
I only wish I could receive the classic counds of WEBN on my car radio out here in the good 'ol CO. WEBN is an awesome classic rock station out of Cincinnati, OH (if anyone is intersted) that is also responsible for the best Labor Day Fireworks show in all of the USA! Check them out if you like a mix of classic and modern rock.
Yo Noid! on the NES, a marketing product for Dominos produced by Capcom that actually turned into a pretty fun game. I mean, c'mon, pizza eating contests in a video game? I'm sold!
An Xbox hacked with Xbox Media Center will do exactly what you want, very well and more.
Yes, but can a DVD-R drive be made to work in Xbox as more than just a reader drive? I have seen hacks replacing the DVD drive, but I do not recall seeing one where a DVD-R was used and capable of actual recording. If you know of one (I have not looked recently), please let me know as I would love to do this.
for one, receive 3Mbs downstream and 1.5Mbs upstream through Cincinnati Bell at the cost of $41.95/mo.
Since when is the upload 1.5Mbps? I just had my Zoomtown upgraded as part of their new program and the speed was listed as 3Mbps/768Kbps? If you are getting 1.5Mbps down, I want to know as I will have a bone to pick with CB!
Note that the Democratic party controlled the House all eight years of Reagan's presidency, and the Senate the last two. Had it not been for excessive spending by Congress (which also increased the amount of "locked in" spending for each successive budget), the budget deficit would have disappeared by the end of Reagan's term.

Even if they do go to XML as a file format, they can still keep users tied to office by keeping the DTD and Schemas closed. XML files are almost useless without their corresponding DTD and Schema files.
you'd have to find someone fast enough to get you a download stream that was 3Mbps
Most people are not looking to get a single download stream of 3Mbps. Power users are looking to get enough bandwidth that their RedHat distro download will not be slowed by them browsing the web or streaming audio at the same time.
I have grouping on MY windows taskbar AND the ability to create several desktops with a nice utility called JSPager. Taskbar grouping is one of the reasons I switched to XP.
Now the big question becomes "What to do with all these open prOn sites?;-P "
While I agree with your overall post, I just want to clarify a couple of things.
First, the FCC is only mandating that all TV be able to accept a digital signal, not necessarily be HD capable. DigitalHD.

Hear, Hear! And I thought I was the only one.

The real question is, who has the clip of Tatu's performance? 100 women in schoolgirl outfits...OUCH!
I just happen to have a link stored in my favoites. Many sizes to choose from!
Rejoice for an extra year or two maybe... now it will be Blackcomb to integrate all of these evil things into the OS :-/

Thank God for the Brzilian Women's soccer team
Unlike Cheetos, they are one of the most complex components in your computer (probably second after the CPU)
Wrong! They would be 3rd... the most complex (if you are in the current decade) would be the GPU, followed by the CPU. Just my 2 cents.
