    Around here there was a recent story where a rider is crossing at an intersection and hits a truck waiting at the light. The rider starts to beat on the driver because of the damage to his bike or whatever. The driver pulls a gun out of his truck and blows the idiot away. Cops didn't even arrest him. Story told to me by my sister, who was a paramedic on scene. Or her coworker was. I don't recall.

    My 2005 Macbook needs a new battery, but otherwise is in perfect working condition. Runs Lion very well, though Apple does not support ML on this generation of hardware.

    I watch video and listen to music that did not come from iTunes. Admittedly, the music was copied through iTunes, but the sources was not the iTunes Store. And with streaming options, you don't even need to copy the music through iTunes.

    You are plainly stupid. The free market cannot work in this case. This is because Chinese providers will simply slap on a "no shit" label and continue as-is. In your vaunted free market (which by definition cannot exist because no one is going to tell the consumer what is really in that fish), there is no incentive for the company to do anything but lie.

    Technically you are utterly ignorant. The Constitutions, along with its amendments, applies to the (Federal) Government, not to private corporations or individuals. So, no, an employer asking for your Facebook password is not and cannot be violating the Constitution.

    I use Google's GV app on my iPad. We're on the 3rd iteration of the iPad and the 4th major OS release (3.2 -> 6.0), and it's still not a Universal app. Google doesn't give a shit about their iOS apps, or they are incredibly incompetent. Or both.

    For the vast majority of people, Linux is a heap of useless trash. It's inconsistent. It has relatively poor hardware compatibility. It has no software compatibility for software that real people care about. There's basically no good reason for the average home user to touch it.

    I gladly and joyfully negate your efforts at every opportunity. Apple hardware isn't a good fit for everyone, but I never hesitate to endorse it when appropriate.

    Every for-profit business is "anti-competitive" based on the slashdot definition of that term. It's become entirely meaningless.

    Apple isn't Microsoft. They don't act like Microsoft. They don't look like Microsoft. The comparison is so absurd that it demonstrates that you are an unthinking asshole.
