  1. Hopefully you will choke to death on your smugness.

  2. It's hard for anyone in the US to give a crap about anything. That's how you end up with Trump and Hillary as the front runners for President. So, I'd not exactly take it as a good thing that Americans are apathetic idiots.

  3. If you think it's virtually unused and unheard of in the US, you're living in an isolated bubble.

  4. No.

    (Glad I could help.)

  5. I hope you choke on your smugness while trying to explain to your children that you are completely out of touch with the real world.

  6. In this case, the criminals are dead. This is not about solving crimes.

  7. The criminals are already dead, killed in a shootout with police. This is a power grab, and has nothing to do with justice for anyone, least of all the victims' families.

Israel has not entered Gaza in any official capacity since pulling out nearly 11 years ago, except to smack Hamas down every time the bombing got too annoying to ignore. The blockades were not in place until Arabs voted Hamas into power in a democratic election. Perhaps those Arabs could take a little responsibility for their (in)action and remove Hamas.

Those same Arabs also destroyed a functioning greenhouse complex that was bought for and given as a gift to them. Their hatred over all things Israeli has destroyed their ability and desire to make an honest life for themselves.

Until you move to Gaza and see the reality for yourself, you should really shut the fuck up. I realize that learning the truth is not a part of your agenda, but I urge you to try it. Either you'll learn something or you'll end up dead. Either way, the world ends up in a better place.

It's a shame you and your family were not in Gaza at the time. You might have noticed the months of rocket attacks that preceded Israel's incursion. And even better, you might have taken a counter-attack in the head.

  17. Exactly. I moved a few years ago to an area with tons of start ups. I'm at my second one now, and I don't work for peanuts and options. I make a good wage and the options are icing on the cake.

  18. You're a delusional idiot. This isn't the 1960s. No one is going to pay you a middle class wage out of college, and no one is going to hire an idiot they have no knowledge of and pay them a lot of money. You need to know people and you need to have skills. One or the other isn't enough, unless you get lucky. Most people do not get lucky.

If you don't know anyone, talk to a head-hunter. It's their job to know people.

  21. Even in the European countries you mention, do all adults receive social benefits anywhere near whatever UBI is under consideration? Figuring out how to pay for a UBI is important, no matter which country you're talking about.

Let's take the US as an example. The current population is around 320 million. If you discount legal dependents (children), you're somewhere around 200 million. Let's consider a UBI of $10,000/yr. In parts of the country that wouldn't even cover rent, but it's high enough for illustration. To give 200 million that amount per year, the US Federal government would be doling out 2 trillion in cash. The US Federal budget for 2015 was 3.8 trillion. You're talking about providing over 50% of that budget in cash payments. That same budget pays salaries, medical care, defense, grants, education, etc.
