I like the way many Linux distributions code name releases. (Manhattan, Slink, Potatoe, etc.) Why can't we do that more often? I think it's much easier to remember Cheese vs Potatoe rather than say 5.1 vs 5.0.1. I'm not saying loose the numbers altogether, but just emphisize the code name more.
Either code names or we can use another industries system... (GT, VR-4, SX, GS, etc.)

Xing's software is and was licensed to users under a license agreement which specifically prohibits reverse engineering.
he exploited a buffer overflow in proftd. since the machine was a ppc, no one could use the pre-written expliots... the winner rewrote the exploit in ppc assembly.

He did answer your question. Why do you still ask it?
Apache asks for more memory. Kernel is confused. Kernel crashes.
I live out in the part of Massachusetts that the Bostonians forget about. (Pittsfield?!?! Remember that?!?!) Phone lines are horrible. 56Kbps modem maybe gets 33-40Kbps. We are 150% copper. Some of the lines in the southern county are still wrapped in paper! We need fiber bad. But the TelCo will not spend the money because we are forgoten and unimportant compared to the Boston side. *sigh*
I'm not sure trademark law counts against incomplete spellings.
i.e. Microsoft vs. Micosoft
Linux vs. Lnux
Can someone answer that for us?

At least I'm not the vice president. =)

I work for an ISP and they have all the techies schedualed for 10pm to 2 am... Just In Case(tm).
Atleast they are providing food and drink.
I'm #366!
I hope this makes a good impression on the industry.
Why the soundcard, speakers, DVD and LS-120?
Unless you are doing sound analysis, etc... Hmm.
It would be faster doing RAID (not sure of the level) for the drives, if you are doing alot of reading/writing.
Just my 2 cents.

Visit http://www.arin.net/whois/ and enter the IP...
If you read the whois output:
Record last updated on 10-Jan-1999.
So this would have been the original server IP.
And I can't ping that IP either.
Try:
$ whois masslinux.com@whois.networksolutions.com
$ whois 209.219.204.3@whois.arin.net
And the ISP shows up. Who would have thought!
cypherpunks/cypherpunks
I've seen this pattern alot.
If it's a ATAPI Seagate, it dies. But not WD.
If it's a SCSI WD, it dies. But not Seagate.
WD has the ATAPI market and Seagate has the SCSI market. IMHO.

They are friends of the lady that invited(?) ESR to Mircosoft. IIRC.

What if the person did work for the company AND teach classes on his own personal time? What type of situation would the company be in now?
I never would have guessed I would be hoping for AOL to win. =)
