From my understanding RFID tags are not unique. Like barcodes, the same number is on all the products of a certain model. So they can't find a specific jacket, just a type of jacket. Does anyone have any resources or information that says different?
So just thinking about their business model here.. Do I get credit for helping them save bandwidth by sharing what I've downloaded with others? They're saving bandwidth by using mine, so what do I get out of it if i still have to pay for content and watch advertisments? If they can make it worth my time, this looks like a great idea.
I'm sure I'll be transfering my important data to different media more often than just every 45 years. When cds came out, I moved everything off my floppies onto CDs. This made it more convenient. I could pop in one cd instead of looking through a ton of floppies for what I wanted. Same thing with DVDRs. I'm moving everything onto them to be more convenient. Deleting all the crap I don't care about anymore. As far as file formats, some I don't use anymore. I've usually found something better, and make the switch. If the data is important, I'll convert it. Hopefully by some automated process. It's an ongoing process. Not something you do every 45 years.
The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason changed my entire concept of money and how to use it. It contains all the stuff you wish someone would have taught you growing up. It is written in parable form and is short and easy to read and understand, yet contains some very inspired text.

If there's anyone that I think can create some software to intelligently determine if an email is spam or not, my first guess would be google. They seem to have a good track record of being able to sort the mess we call the Internet. Just give them some time. It's still beta after all.
If you're emailing anything incriminating using ANY email server, you're stupid. That's what GPG is for.
If you can make it through the obvious bias...
Heh. I'm reading slashdot aren't I? This article should be no problem.
Fifth Element.
Thanks to the new YAHOO! MAIL we can all give the competition something to kiss.
So are they implying that Yahoo! Mail is total ass?
This whole thing sounds like the CIC database in Snow Crash.
Do you have any references to information to back that up? I'd like to read more about that.

What kind of equipment do firefighters have that can measure the voltage in a static field?
Oh great. If some asshat has this insurance and decides to tell lies about me, there's nothing I can do about it.
My boss learned a long time ago that the fastest way to get a hacker to do something is to tell them that it can't be done.
My backup was corrupt = I didn't have a backup, but I'm not going to tell you that.
If you want to use gettext with php, I wrote a very simple howto on the subject. http://ruistech.com/gettext/

Did they design this controller so that when you got mad at the game and chucked the controller that it would come back to you?
My wife has given me until the end of the week to find a home for it or I have to take it to the dump.

take that money and 'hack' it into more money over time and then buy more expensive geek toys.
...on the iCopulate.
This thing takes about an hour to move the distance equal to it's diameter.
These guys seem to have a pretty nice gui for a graphic editing program.
One who doesn't like video games as much as this guy.
"You never spend any time with me."
"One more frag baby."
...is where can I get some pepper paintballs?
