I agree completly. I am currently running OSX on a G3/350 B&W, 512mb, and it is simply awful. Keep in mind, my computer is at least two, maybe three revisions after yours. I have enough ram that I never swap, the bottleneck is processor/bus and video card. I rarely do taxing photoshop-type work like you. Just running itunes, safari, adium, mail, bbedit is enough to make me jump out of a window. Luckily, in the fall, I should have a 15", as soon as they are released. muahaha
every car I've owned only had room for one DIN device
A double-din opening is more common that you think. Most imported cars actually have a double din opening. Mazda, Honda, Nissan, Toyota(i think). Thats what that silly little pocket underneath your stereo is. Most American cars have a 1 or 1.5 din sized stereo, but you could always mount it under the seat.
The Apple iMac was unveiled today, in translucent "Bondi Blue". This new computer sports a screaming 233 mHz G3 processor, 6 gigabyte HD, and 32 megabytes ram
besides, its not like its that hard to install fink, considering the level of user that is going to miss the additional utilities. Sheesh, if Apple had included everything out of the box, people would be complaining that apple forced one set of tools on their users

keep in mind that Microsoft's Macintosh buisness unit is very seperated from the PC unit. that's the reason Entourage, Outlook for MacOS (made by the PC Exchange group), and Outlook Express for Windows all store mail in different formats.
I am running a rev 2 B&W G3 with great DVD support in 10.1.5. I seriously doubt that apple would take that ability out to force us to upgrade our machine. I believe what those reports refered to was older machines with hardware dvd drives, like the early G3 powerbooks.
i heard once that cell phones will all connect to 911 even if there is no account associated with them. there are programs which give out old donated cellphones to homless women living on the streets, just for the 911 capability

you joke, but it pretty much isnt the same sony. A corporation of this size has so many divisions that each has no clue what the others are doing.
lol thats because SQL server isnt really a microsoft product. They bought it from Sybase. This is why you will never see a Sybase product on Microsoft
