Craiglist is used for mostly legal things, the silk road exists only to serve an "illegal" purpose, which is selling drugs. I'm not all that familiar with how they stay anonymous, but if there's a way to unravel that system, it would come through cases like this most likely. I think this guy got busted for selling drugs outside the silk road, as per the article, and was overall a stupid drug dealer. A quote about human stupidity and why we can't have nice things (for a user the Silk Road is heaven.. till they OD) is in order I suppose.
Russia or China? Have you been under a rock? It doesn't seem likely, but isn't war all about surprise? So rather than live in fear of that, the government builds missile defense systems.
I'm also scratching my head... how is "The Social Network" related to coding? Those were fuckin actors??? Coders have coded in teams since the start of coding, whether in the workplace, or in a garage, it's to bounce ideas off each other, and get help with bugs and techniques, is it possible to drink after coding... or fuck it, it's a choice, not a meme.
It gets better... the innocent person can lose and get 25 years, the criminal accepts the plea bargains, gets out in 3 1/2 for good behavior and picks right back up where they left off. Or the innocent person accepts the 5 year plea bargain (I'm thinking robbery here?), serves their time and picks up a new trade while they're at it.
It's illegal to use them in the event of non-ownership. So if I'm using my neighbor's open wifi, i'm in the legal wrong, they're not. Also it's SSID. Wrong much?
That's why plea bargains exist... to avoid trials and keep the court's resources in check. The problem there is that an innocent person might be scared of getting sentenced to life and accept the 5 year prison deal instead of going to trial and stating their case. Of course, if you're truly innocent you'll win the trial in the perfect world, but we're not perfect.
So... just to clarify, did this guy actually spend $3500 on his ship?
And.. I dunno man, if you have a job & a family, should you really care if you're level 20, or level 50? WOW / other MMOs let those types of people buy characters, I'd imagine it's ships in EVE, but for every character bought they had to built up to that level, is that the same? I just have a difficult time seeing somebody spending 3.5k on a ship, short of being stinking rich and bat shit crazy.
None, you'd have to land a wife... to begin with. In the case of EVE players, they should shoot for a female that talks to them that isn't their mom for starters.
Such a simple solution, they already have plugin detection, so they probably just expanded that with an on / off switch. And... nobodies thought of it, I like it, mozilla needs some fresh new features... I still can't get sync to work easily for what I want it to (multiple computers, 1 bookmarks file, idc about mobile devices for those). I'm willing to bet the next versions of chrome and IE will include it though.
I don't think you understand the people you're talking about: here's an obligatory xkcd: http://xkcd.com/705/ . Some people care more about downtime than others and security people are among the most... paranoid. Also, fear = job security, so:)
It's mostly done through injecting the pointer via a web application nowadays to create a SQL injection attack. Works especially well on retards who use dSQL, never have a seen a dumber implementation of SQL, or such a large compelling reason not to use it.
If you're going to make a pot joke, at least let it make sense: Amazon is a national distributor of goods. The key word is national. Now back to the bango drums!

Consider that Germany marched against the entirety of Europe... twice.

Obama renewed the Patriot Act: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/27/patriot-act-extension-signed-obama-autopen_n_867851.html . I couldn't believe my ears, but he did.

They'd make open wifi networks illegal for those very reasons with the way things are going now.
That's NOT what Tor is designed for. Also your performance would be to the point where most wouldn't bother to use it.

The something awful alliance?
Facepalm!
Is this where the meme factory finds its consumers, or is it just a bunch of... I don't even know what.
I couldn't game with these folks based on the naming conventions alone.
RTFA namely about time dilation.

Performed by Kim Jong un himself!
To farm ideas from the community?
Lol, I was just thinking that, there's still a fair # of Vietnam vets prone to PTSD with military training around.

Ozone layer holes and global warming... let's just shoot some bleach up there folks. That'll fix the crazy weather we've been having.

Apple vs. Porn the showndown!
I find my lack of meme knowledge... enlightening.

I find your belief in faith disturbing.
