I have been listening to these songs for sometime. And while some of them just plainly hurt the ears, I find if I put them in random shuffle I can have them playing for some time, without boredom. Also the longer you listen to them the more interesting they become, almost hypnotising, like whale music. Picking up a few notes from songs you recognize is kinda interesting too.

I have seen many comments about the lack of insightful teachers in the school system. Perhaps its just your local area, but perhaps its your attitude. I have no teachers that were complete hard-asses in class, but if you went to them during office hours they were completely approachable, and willing to above and beyond to help you out. Only the rarest teachers will put themselves out there continuously, most people can't handle getting shit on by students, who seem to vary only in age, but never in maturity.
Snob's in any industry try to instill the belief of the 'correct way'. But in music there are live tracks, in different locations, with differnet band members, and maybe altered lyrics. All of these things change the song, and make it unique, thus the desire for people to buy, share, and trade these recordings.
So people are clearly interested in different version of the same song, so why not allow them to mess with it, we already have a small form of it with equalizers, digital or otherwise.
So what if joe six-pack wants a green and orange desktop that causes 'experts' in the community to hemmorage. Consumers want freedom to decide what they want.

Answer? Nothing about computers is 'intuitive' it's all learned behaviour. The fact that people actually whine and bitch about something that small makes me laugh, expecially now that in OS X the Trash turns into the Eject icon when you grab and move a removable disk.
Having to drag a disk icon to the trashbin to eject, while every other object you drag onto the trashbin gets deleted is not inuitive, its not an expected behaviour. People bring up this topic because it is representative of the techie vs user problem, not because it is still plaguing users to this day.
I find it laughable they took so long to correct a UI design flaw.
