I got it 3 different times in a row. I tried to post, hit the 20 second limit, waited, got the above error. Tried again, hit the 20 second limit, waited, got the above error again, only with a different "Invalid Form Key".

Is this some sort of new Anti-First-Post code? At first I thought that maybe no one who auto-posts at -1 can post for the first n minutes, but you got in there first.

    So what the hell?

If not: Open source encryption products have been available for some time now, and they continue to get better. You think Osama's $300MM won't buy him a few good hackers to make sure that encryption works for him and is easy enough to use for all his henchmen?

If we let "the gummint" restrict encryption, and put backdoors into whatever they let us use, guess who loses? Us, dipshit, that's who. You say, "Well, if you're not doing anything wrong, you've got nothing to hide." You don't think those backdoors will get cracked? 14. Interesting my ass on Kernel 2.4.12 Released · · Score: -1

How many times have Winblows Servitude Packs hosed complete systems? The answer: many, many times.

The difference? All these problems are out in the open with Linux. M$ does everything they can to hide any bugs they can. When the preponderance of evidence forces them to admit to bugs, they always minimize them as much as possible. Linus comes out and says, "Gee, folks, I guess I really screwed that one up!"

Also, M$ requires you to install the latest Servitude Packs before they'll offer tech support. With Linux, no one running a mission critical system updates to the latest "stable release".

I have 3 servers I maintain: 2 at work and 1 at home. Guess what they all run? That's right: 2.2.19. Why? I don't need USB or any of the other new features and 2.2.19 is rock stable. I do however update to the latest kernels (if I have time) on my workstations, because no one else uses them but me. My servers need to stay up because many people need to access them (users at work, family at home).

And you know what else? I don't give a damn about "competing with Windows". I have one copy of Windows 98 I use to play games. I do everything else under Linux. If it gets to a point that I need XP to run a new game, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy it (like I did Win98SE).

Of course, I'll never have to worry about that sort of thing with Linux, because it will always be Free. That is why it's superior, and always will be, to Winblows.

Oh, come on, "Tim"! You want to tell me that you've never read an interview with Linus where he was asked, "What do you think of MS/.Net? What do you think of RMS wanting Linux to be called GNU/Linux? Where is Linux going in the future? Do you think lots of different distros are good or bad for Linux?"

If you say that you've never heard those questions before, then you're either a liar, or you've never read an interview with Linus.

So why the fuck are you here? Take a hike! And you don't think it's childish and idiotic to call someone "a loser", then when they offer a well thought out reply, you call them "a loser" again??

    You know women...

The women I know from your area of the world (mostly from Croatia and Bosnia) ignore "fools and jerks", probably a much better course of action than engaging them, wouldn't you say?

Today, we are on 19,000 pagehits/day average...

Don't suppose that has anything to do with the Slashdot effect from the above story? Check back with us in a month, when Slashdot hasn't posted any interview with Linus on your site, and tell us about the hits.

Besides, I couldn't care less about your website. I only went there to see the interview, and it turns out it's truly the worst interview with Linus I've ever read. And popularity!=quality. Rush Limbaugh is one of the most popular media personalities in the US, and he's a liar, a racist and a hypocrite. Not generally what most people aspire to be.

Bullshit. The person you are replying to has an excellent point. All the questions that were asked of Linus have been asked dozens of times by other publications. He's just tired of being asked the same crap over and over again.

Why don't you forego the obvious questions and try to come up with something that's (shock! horror!) ORIGINAL?? Maybe it's your inherent bias that caused you to come up with such hackneyed, boring questions.

And, btw, your lack of English skills is no excuse. You are the editor of an English language publication, right? If you refuse to do the research necessary to express yourself correctly in English, then you're ignorant and lazy.
