Apparently there is no water filtration plant in the US that can get rid of the hormones from birth control pills. So in heavily populated areas, enjoy your lady hormones, guys.
That doesn't really work since these days you get that junk as coinstallers from download.com, filehippo, softpedia, softonic, etc. You might legitimately want to go to those sites. Although the installer itself typically accesses a web server that returns the paid deal of the day type malware options so if they were really clever, that's the address they'd block.
Here's the solution that nobody apparently has the balls to implement. Have a blacklist of common malicious adware plugins then block them all. That'd put Perion out of business really quickly. It's soooo obvious and common even a human can compile the list. Here, I'll start. Maps Galaxy. Babylon. Various youtube auto HD fake plugins. Anything with the word "coupon" on it. Shop at home toolbar. We Care. There, I just eliminated practically half the browser malware in the world with my 60 second blacklist.
Too bad MS (and mozilla and Google) are too scared to get sued by these asshole malware companies.
:O Why didn't I hear about this?! This is bigger than some stupid celebrity break up and the news media must not have covered it to the point where I'd hear about it.
Since they already use a software client, copy what Steam does and sell bulk anonymous system configuration data to statistics companies. They could sell approximate internet speed to the government, processor brand to each processor maker for market share data, OS percentages to Microsoft, etc. That's got to be worth the amount they're looking for.
Did I miss something? There is no company called AOL. Time Warner bought them out like 10 years ago. Is Time Warner the one selling off the AOL branch of products? If so, this is a Time Warner-Verizon deal.
Android (well Google) and Apple both pissed off their customers by breaking all their software with every single frequent update. Windows is the only product that hasn't technically done that since the OSes are too few and far between. Maybe they should look at fragmentation and compatibility disasters at their competitors and NOT DO THE EXACT SAME THING!!!
The golden rule: If you are attracted to an attractive woman's body, you are a pervert and a pig.
Golden rule part B: if you are not attracted to an unattractive woman's body, you're a shallow pig.
In a year, 99% of viruses are going to be crypto ransomware. It's a million times more effective than stealing bank account info or health records or credit card numbers or any of that junk that's basically valueless in 2015. If my CC gets stolen, you'd be lucky to use it in another state let alone another country. If you steal my bank account login, you better know all my security questions too once the bank sees an unfamiliar IP address and I'll get a phone call to verify a large EFT. But encrypt someone's files and they're likely to pay the ransom. I think the original ransomware virus got like $50 million+. The people behind these viruses will never be caught so until every government makes it illegal to pay these fines, people will keep doing it.
I could have sworn that the collapse and utter disaster of communist countries proved this. If you have no reason to learn things then get a good job and work hard, you're not going to. People are lazy as hell. If everyone's even and shares everything, nobody tries and your country sucks.
I'm still not over their "Pentium N" or as I like to call it, an atom CPU with a 1000-ish passmark rating. 50% slower than the 3rd edition Pentiums. Veeeeery impressive, Intel.
This was a DISASTER for Apple. Every update breaks half the software on the system. Then there's Firefox. That was arguable even worse when they switched to monthly releases that broke half the plugins and flash every other time. Then there's the fact that 1 in 3 people couldn't install Windows 8.1 for some reason. I can't wait to manage this as head IT manager. Sounds like fun.
That will never happen. A drone can easily carry enough explosives to take out a vehicle or building. So if they self-police and agree to stay in their lane or at elevation etc, that doesn't mean a rogue one can't bomb something. Anti-terrorism would have to go from virtually 2D to 3D to account for threats from the air with thousands of drones flying around. Given their speed and the inability to see what's inside them while they're in the air, it's just not going to be widespread legal ever. There is simply no solution for that problem.
I'm 27 and I got promoted from head programmer to CIO since I also know networking and hardware support. So I would fire someone with your arrogant attitude in a heartbeat.
Make your product better than your imitators! That's all you need to do. Why does everyone buy SD, PNY, Adata, and Silicon Power flash drives over those much cheaper no-name brand Hong Kong wonders on ebay? Because they lie about the speeds, they fail in about a week, and they're made with flimsy materials. Why do people go to Starbucks instead of Kwik Trip (or Seven Eleven for you southerners) for their coffee? Because Starbucks' product is better. That or because they're hippie douchebags. Either way, if you make your product better, your competitors get no business.
Okay, I'll cite most software in the entire world as an example. Also I worked with a team of programmers that were quite old and not one of them knew what I was talking about when I said we needed to filter certain characters to prevent SQL injections. They had no idea how they worked and actively told me not to bother with my "paranoid" waste of time and code.
"Zen will use simultaneous multithreading to execute two threads per core"
That is the exact polar opposite of what everyone wants. We want one thread executed on multiple cores. The single core performance of AMD 6 and 8 core CPUs is PATHETIC. Most software still runs on just one core.
How about they also sue out of existence the 10000000000000000000000 companies doing it on Windows systems too? Or just have Obama order a drone strike on Perion headquarters in Redmond, Washington. That ought to to send the right message to scumbag companies like this.
Hiring older developers is the fastest way to put hundreds of security holes in your software. That's reality, people. They just simply don't keep up and don't have modern college training in the latest security threats and program hacking methods.
For now, they're just going to go with the current test which is if you buy an Apple product, you don't have any sort of advanced brain genes of any kind.
Ooh ooh I thought of a better one! It should be called the Facebook Zynga SUPERVISION instead because that's what both companies are still under by the FBI for copyright, privacy, and other legal violations.

I can't be the only one who thought of this precise example of a situation like this

Fracking = earthquake. It's a rather simple algorithm.

That seems to clash with the stat that 11 cargo shipping container super ships cause more air pollution than all the cars in the entire US.

I agree. Analyze the virus without running it. Let's see it defend itself then.
