People also seem to be forgetting that alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and epsom salt all kills all forms of human-harming bacteria. Only one can be applied somewhat internally but still. I love it when people say that hand sanitizer is making drug-resistant bacteria. Yeah, and I'm sure any day now a human will adapter to be immune to fire.

HELL NO! That died with Windows 7. And then 6 months later, Linux will explode and MS will make half the stuff they tried to charge for free (see Windows 8.1 patch, lol).

  3. kick in the nuts on New Global Plan Would Crack Down On Corporate Tax Avoidance · · Score: 1

Let me break this down. My company is small because Microsoft charges me way the hell too much for Windows licenses on my custom-built computers. I can't compete with the $45 or so license cost given to Dell, which is given to them because they're big. So I stay small because Microsoft is keeping me small by charging me unfairly. My additional income from licenses I buy from them lets them get big enough that they can pay less in taxes so I in turn have to pay more in taxes at my US business because I can't afford to operate it out of a foreign country because they're purposely keeping me small with the price difference excuse of the fact that I'm not big. Thanks, assholes.

Because they want to build their own to prove their amazing Chinese quality standards and engineering skills. In other words, it's going to fall out of the sky. Their 100 billion dollar train or whatever is a cheap Chinese crap engineering disaster. Some of their dams are cheap Chinese crap disasters. I think it's more likely for Nigeria to launch a properly working space station than China.

This is getting old. Even on Star Trek they can't detect things that far away. How the hell do we know how much lithium is under a planet's crust with no light bouncing off of it and it's millions of lightyears away? In fact, their used their magical light frequency technique on one of the moons in our own solar system and then found out a few months ago they were drastically wrong about its chemical composition. But I'm sure they can count lithium atoms from a million lightyears in a billion star systems perfectly accurately.

In case you haven't stopped by Newegg lately, look at the reviews for all 1TB drives. It's like 95% positive. Look at the reviews for any model 2TB drive from any manufacturer. Across the board they're HORRIBLE! It makes it seem like the DoA numbers are between 50% and 75%. Some people said they ordered 2, got them both DoA, then got 1 DoA out of the two replacements. Tons of other people claim that they failed within 3 months. Now look at the 3Tb and 4TB drives. Horrible again!

So apparently after making 1TB drives, Seagate and WD forgot how to make hard drives. I wouldn't buy one of these 8TB or 10TB drives for any reason because I expect the exact same thing to happen to them.
