That doesn't help for me: google tells me the history is switched off, but the link that shows 'www.bing.com' on the first mouse-over still copies as a link to a google server.
Yes, thank slashdot for that: 'A>B' does show as A>B, but you don't get A
I did mean that most people don't understand source code any better than they understand compiled code (i.e. not at all in either case)
That's odd, I still get those. They're rubbish links running through the Google spyware-system, but they are there.
For instance my first hit for Bing is:
'....google.../url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&ved=0CAcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2F&ei=8xRYS-yCOsfx-QbzpImJBA&usg=AFQjCNH_kUbuWB-3hS1tAW84OLUSYqT8MQ'
Well google seems to disagree with that. I just checked the chrome download page and still got this: Not Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora/openSUSE? There may be a community-supported version for your distribution here
Apparently this fast moving and well funded commercial operation is waiting for volunteers to port its code?
Your comment is outrageous. The submission consists of a factual statement and some literal quotes from Microsoft. If this is FUD about explorer it is Microsoft FUD about explorer and not the submitters.
Sort of: I'm saying that the assumption that these flaws persist through incompetence is not a less complex explanation. The fact that issues were not solved in one of their later releases may very well be a deliberate commercial decision, which would make it indeed malicious rather than incompetent from the end-user perspective.
The problem is, there is no evidence that: Never ascribe to stupidity that which can be adequately explained by malice. Is invoking more entities. In fact, claiming that the commercially most successfull software company got there through stupidity rather than malice sounds extremely implausible to me.
I prefer a mobile with just 10 data entry keys. The user-friendliness of having to select something from a 150 entry drop-down or having to press every key (a different) multiple times is vastly overrated.
That's nothing; I often deliberately leave the mouse pointer up a nostril or in an eye of a picture on the page while I read.
I know. It's pathetic, but it amuses me.
Are you sure about that copyright? I was under the impression that they distributed their works for free on USB sticks.

Microsoft is synonymous with "cheap"
I think you may have misinterpreted their low TCO campaigns.

I generally refer to code monkeys as 'it'.
As in 'Look it has messed up that trivial bit of Python as well'.
Donning my asbestos underpants.
!(A>B) != AB
Clippy
Isn't it obvious? Removing Windows 7 clearly costs $50. A fair price IMO.

Only for people who read the source more easily than the compiled code.
Yes, the system in question is know as 'plant'. Runs on solar power as well.

Good thing there's a google-cache. Now if we only need a Bing-cache where Googles whitewashing is archived...

The felony was making a threat.
It's not the DA (or in this case the CP) who has gone mad, it's the law-makers.
Goose feathers make better quills than those from birds of prey.
And yes, I do program in fortran.
you're still missing 7,700,000,000 people out of 8,000,000,000
reinforcing the human rights as a species
I think this should count: make it apply to everybody, not just citizens

Slam your head into the keyboard.
OK, so people differ 5% from chimps but men differ 33% from male chimps?
I get the feeling there may be a joke in there somewhere.
