Which female agent do you mean? I haven't been able to watch the show all summer (I get SciFi at school, but know at home), but the only regular "hot babe" I know of is the Keeper, who's been there since the pilot.
Basically, it's one that doesn't need to be fsck'ed. This is a vast simplification, but basically, it keeps track of the changes that are made (not the actual data, just the fact that files were created/modified/deleted), and if the system should crash/power go out/etc, you won't have to worry about the filesystem being corrupted, not to mention the fact that it doesn't take ages to check the filesystem.
I use reiserfs (a JFS) on all but one partition, and if my system crashes (I run a lot of unstable stuff), the reiserfs partitions take about 2 seconds each to check, whereas ext2 takes ages...
Having built-in journaling filesystems is a very good thing. And just so you know, Mandrake has had support for more than a year, so redhat is really just catching up.
Drunken Master is actually one of his older movies - I think it's from the 80s. It's just that it was only released (and dubbed) in this country recently.
I hate to respond to such an obvious troll, but hey, look at my username;).
You clearly have NO clue what you're talking about.
Programs don't port themselves - and the only way there could be copyright concerns would be if these ports were actually released. And since generally commercial games are closed-source, the ports wouldn't be released without permission from the developer.
My brother and I sound EXACTLY the same, or at least pretty damn close. Even our siblings can't tell us apart on the phone. I know what he sounds like. When I'm recorded on an answering machine, I sound like a complete dork. Most importantly, I DON'T sound like my brother.
Aside from the fact that you have HYDROCHLORIC ACID in your stomach!
(I know it's diluted a lot.) But still - your stomach lining is very resilient. Hmm... you don't suppose that vomit would make a good floor stripper, do you?
One way to do this would be to say that anyone can make changes to the code and whatever, but they cannot distribute alternate versions of the code under the name of your program -- I don't see anything wrong with this, really, b/c they have no way of performing quality control over someone else's code. They could still build a product based on this code, but they'd have to rename it rather than riding on the coattails of your success.
Just curious - why do you call moc an "obsolete preprocessor"? This is like saying that GCC is an "obsolete compiler". It's really a very minor thing - it just adds a few features that C++ lacks, and makes things OH SO MUCH nicer. Just because it's a preprocessor doesn't mean that it's bad.
You're certainly on to something here - I don't think anyone would seriously try to write a major GUI app in either Perl or Python. Maybe Python's different (I doubt it), but from my experience with Perl (I've built some fairly sizeable CGI apps), you just get to a point where the language just doesn't scale any more, unlike C/C++. Somehow there comes a point where you need a "real" language, with robust type-checking, real data structures, etc.
I've seen a bunch of GUI programs written in Perl, Python, and Tcl, and you know what? None of them were particularly complex - mostly things like configuration programs, with the most complex being a very kludgy e-mail client.
So sure, you can write GUI apps in scripting languages, but if you want to do more than fairly simple stuff, you need another language.
Not to mention that you must not know how to pronounce it either - there are TWO n's in sentiment - or are you some hick who actually pronounces it sediment?;)
I just ordered the Customizer 104 from pckeyboard.com (no terminal s). It's made by Unicomp, who bought IBM's keyboard tech - it's essentially the classic IBM keyboard (with buckling springs), only with a PS/2 connector and the extra 3 keys (I like having extra modifiers - Meta rox:). Can't wait till it arrives - my poor wrists are hurting from this mush-board I'm using right now, because my Linux CoolKeyboard (similar to the IBM ones, but much lighter) decided to give up the ghost.
Remember Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home? Scotty is tring to use a computer (A mac? not sure), tries talking into the mouse - he's shown the keyboard, and says, "A keyboarrrrd.... How quaint!"
But he's apparently a really good typist, because he sure can input the parameters for transparent Aluminum real quick!:)
Close - Kessel is a planet where they have spice mines. The rest is right. Which brings something to mind... WHY does every scifi show seem to call any sort of illegal or expensive drug 'spice'? Just an obHerbertRipoff, or what?
As far as I know, Pike was the first captain of the 'prise. And why is that dumb guy from Quantum leap going to be playing the captain? Whenever I see him I always think of him wearing a dress - very unappealing. Or maybe they're trying to be politically correct and have a captain who's in touch with his feminine side?

I'd guess not until KDE 2.2 is out - that's going to a really nice improvement on 2.1 (which is pretty nice already). I find 2.1 painful to use :).
Of course, I'm a KDE developer, so I'm biased...

Yup - the movie was worth it just to see that trailer.
That movie is going to ROCK.
Or even better:
:)
Use *base pi*. Why didn't someone think of this before? It would save a LOT of effort... those silly guys!
Now, all we have to do is find out what pi^1 is... oh, wait.
Wow... I just saw Top Gun for the first time a few days ago... that's almost creepy in its coincidence.
I'd say that almost any defacement of stileproject.com would be an IMPROVEMENT.
There already ARE programs for internet addicts. Check out netaddiction.com.
:).
You wanna know the REALLY funny thing? The counseling is done online
I don't believe that.

How did you manage to know that you would get user #444444? Did you just happen to get one close to that and keep madly re-registering or something? :)
Aside from the fact that you have HYDROCHLORIC ACID in your stomach!

BTW, doesn't cola make the floors all sticky?
Yes, and so what? We already HAVE a TLD for businesses - .com. So why should a site that is already covered by another TLD use the fall-back catch-all?
That's the Artistic License, right?
BZZZT! It IS Bjarne.
BTW, the 'wait 20 seconds before posting' thing is really annoying...

Sure, it's a bit of a hack. But who cares?

No to mention AD&D long distance (or was it ATNT?)

Of course, that brings up the real question:
WHY ON EARTH IS IT CALLED ENTERPRISE????
As far as I know, Pike was the first captain of the 'prise. And why is that dumb guy from Quantum leap going to be playing the captain? Whenever I see him I always think of him wearing a dress - very unappealing. Or maybe they're trying to be politically correct and have a captain who's in touch with his feminine side?
That DEFINITELY is the funniest B5 quote - I laughed so hard I hurt myself when I saw that the Furst (get it? :) time.
