Maybe I drastically misunderstand evolution, but it seems highly unlikely that the first fish-like-thing out of the water would have been hunting insects. Theoretically it wouldn't have been hunting ANYTHING, it would have been all alone on the land. Right? It could have tried to hunt, but it would have been awfully lonely and fruitless endeavour.

Wouldn't this be solved by including a big fan/vacuum in the airlock room to suck all the particulates on the outside of an Astronauts spacesuit?
I don't know how difficult it is to remove lunar dust, but I'd imagine 30 seconds in a strong windtunnel would be sufficient.
Well, yeah, but the market hasn't failed to produce an adequate search engine.

The stat doesn't indicate that Ipod owners steal music less frequently than non-ipod owners. It's possible from those numbers that all owners of MP3 players steal music at the lower 7% rate. The rest of the illegal music downloading could be coming from those of use who don't own any MP3 players. The article doesn't mention any other MP3 players or their stats.
Not saying that it's wrong, I'm just saying that you haven't backed it up with anything.
This sounds like an element from the plot of Cory Doctrow's Eastern Standard Tribe where all users of a highway system will be able to access each others music as long as they're on the same road at the same time, a real information superhighway.
No, of course consumers don't want another format war. However, consumers don't get to directly decide which formats companies choose to put forth. Just because consumers don't want a format war doesn't mean they won't get one.
Of course, they can always end one very rapidly by not buying one format.
The ballot questions can be great fun. In Massachusetts a few years ago a ballot question almost overturned the entire concept of a state income tax. Most of the time, however, the ballot question is a non-binding question as to whether we like pot or not. I'm very tired of answering that question.
If you don't think middlemen serve a purpose, then why, do you suppose, do producers not simply sell directly the consumers?
There's a service in delivery and there's a service in filtration... both of which the music industry provides. Just because someone is a middle-man doesn't mean they're not providing a service. If they weren't providing a service, nobody would ever hand them any money.
I think the even bigger problem is that you haven't heard of 99.999999% of non-label bands. You at least have a shot when someone's paying you to put out an album. When you're on your own, you're out of luck.
Well, yeah, but what about the risk to the person you're going to kill by driving over the speed limit. Unlike seatbelt laws, this is not about protecting you from yourself... speed limits are about protecting other people from you.
Do you think he means the particular gun in the display, or the concept of the "gun"?

Well, just make sure you include the energy costs of chilling the soda. I don't know of many places that provide you with luke-warm soda even if you ask for no ice.
Not if they bump the storage on the larger iPods as well.

Site advisor gives it a big old green symbol. Don't worry folks, it's clear.

Too close to Windows Me.
1. A Pocket PC version that syncs with Thunderbird.
2. A calender function.
Of course, what else would they hook their big chains on to?

You don't consider homophobia to be biogotry?
Ha, my mom does the same thing, PLUS she enlarged the default font setting so you can only read two or three words per screen.
You did catch on that the author was making fun the most prolific inventor, right? His use of 'greatest' was clearly ironic.
Does anyone else find it fascinating/depressing when people can't spot obvious humor?
