Our TV/Radio has some rules about a certain amount of Canadian content. Example, we see and hear Canadian bands in disproportionate amounts - which would be ok if not for nickleback being Canadian.
I found that when I installed ubuntu on my network, a bigger step than most would take, that the battery life was significantly worse than XP. The things windows is better at may mostly be out of the equation but there will always be a few that might affect the user, as an example there are games that a netbook can run that linux can't. If netbooks did get less powerful and more specialized the OS would matter less again.
you can run FFVII on CFW you need to use the recovery menu to select "use version.txt" then usb toggle flash0 find version.txt and change all 5.00 or 500 to 5.50/550
I have not gotten FFVII but it worked for Fire pro wrestling G off the japanese store.
"If they are cosmetic it does not appeal to the playerbase and no one buys them."
I did not play SB(for more than a day) but on ACDT no one even had matching armor. The players on NPK servers would bling out in their matching armor type and matching loot gen colours but it would take relatively small comprimises to do it. Many DT players would not even dye their stuff to match in colour when that was nearly free in ingame currency.
I do not think that players of 6 year old FFA pvp mmos buy bling. It may be the best model in the world when it works but I do not think it would work for this type of game.
Microtransactions probably would not fly for a pvp based game like shadowbane. If they give advantages people quit because the game is a piece of shit where you have to buy your status. If they are cosmetic it does not appeal to the playerbase and no one buys them.
It is a good idea for some games but does not work for all of them.
Fewer trucks on the road and fewer CDs being smelted cannot possibly be a bad thing in the big picture. Not a big impact but would positive contribution if it was not BS trying to pass a law.
The blank CDs could be packaged up with a little art and levies(levi?) going to the source that you most like to download. Gotta stay honest though and buy spindle for both your porn and underground music.
I've met people from accounting firms who have paperless offices. Computers probably increased employment in accounting because more could be done at reasonable cost.
There is not enough money in gaming to support a large number of players. Hockey and Football support all of the players at the high end while in gaming only the top few can make a living and the pay drops off sharply after. I do not think that this can change right now.
Gambling may be an interesting avenue. Anyone can try playing poker. A loop of interest can exist between watching and playing. I think that getting people to try and win 50 bucks playing Quake or Street Fighter would generate interest in the pro gaming coverage.
For a video game story I would base the quality of a spoiler on the importance of the story in that game. So for almost all games what the writer suggests, "deals with death/love/groundhogs" is fine and writing exactly what happens would not hurt them.
Late game twist should be more likely to be left out of the text unless they are for the worse. While an early game plot device should be free to cover.
Spoiling actual gameplay surprises may be a trickier subject but I am short on examples.
I have not read of a flat panel monitor that will accept a 120hz source. With motion interpolation turned off a 120hz lcd should look exactly like a 60hz one but be easier on the eyes.
With a CRT you could play Quake, CS, or whatever at 120fps while with a 120hz lcd the video card will only get polled at 60hz.
My father managed to cause problems on the least privileged Win2k account. He wasn't using FF or paying attention to the virus scanner though.
In my experience the lowest user levels can still do damage in the wrong hands. User levels below admin usually end up having trouble doing things experienced users want to.

a fitting signature, "Screw Linux, use DOS."
Had you expected something?
The player should learn to avoid it. They should not need their handheld for this especially in a game as forgiving as wow.
No problem, enjoy it

We call them "Computer On Wheels"
I had a user account specifically for school work on my laptop. It was very organized and any personal files weren't accessible.
If your "friends" aren't really messing around with it there shouldn't be too risky of a threat of health.

but I just let CADIE handle all of my 'important' business emails!

Sounds reasonable then.
I set it all up before but performance was not very good so I never boot it up.
a usb keyboard works fine on it. I think you need one for most installations. I am not disputing that a cheap PC is a much better alternative.
Most of those programs worked on the PS3 day one. I am not aware of what makes this a new development.
This one is supposedly going back to the roots of DOOM

excellent, I thought that the 3d push would lead to monitors capable of doing so.
In addition to the other reply to this parent.
