Terrorists won't waste any time on California bridges, not when they've got good 'ol Gray in here trashing the economy, the power grid, and the taxpayer. Nice work shithead!
I tried several different adaptecs, all failed. I also tried BusLogic BT958, cards I've had great success with in the past. Kudzu finds the card (thinks there's 2 of them), but insmod complains "no such device". On every non-SMP system I have 7.2 works great, on the mother ship, it's a disaster. 7.2 also thinks this system has 3 NIC's, but there's only 2. I think it's just a messed up PCI implementation.
I turned a workhorse quad xeon running 7.0, into an unstable, error ridden mess, simply by upgrading to 7.2, so I could ext3. I totally lost the ability to see the adaptec 2940 in the unit,(panic) and it has "scores" of network errors, no matter what NIC's I swap in. Oddly, I have tried the hardware (40x6i DAT) in other boxes (non SMP) and they work fine. The 2.4.9 kernel is pretty much the disaster it's claimed to be, for me.
We did not "discover to our surprise" the attitudes of muslim fanatics. Instead we discovered that we should take their toxic rantings more seriously. That's all. Muslim countries have always hated us for trying to introduce them to the twentieth century, because they ain't done with the twelfth yet...
Not surprisingly, I get a "site too busy" error, but it's from apache-ADTI - now what in the world is that flavor?

I finished a W2K upgrade to all desktops in 2001. The schedule is that we don't do anything till 2005. I've already verified that I can use pgp in outlook to encrypt something that gpg from the shell can decrypt. Though I like the NA product, if they're done, they're done, and I have something workable for 3 more years, after which I'll just switch to a gpg infrastructure. End of problem.
You can work directly with the contents of his hard disk, even if he's using XP. All you have to do is write some javascript at the end of a special URL, and tell him to visit it.
Maybe you didn't test on an SMP box? (I'm sure you did). 2.4.9-31 works fine on all my boxes except the LH4, and it's truly nasty on that. I swapped out my etherpro cards for 3c5900 and still get continual network errors, and kernel panics if I try to re-install the 2940. Kudzu will find a BT-958, but insmod BusLogic claims there's no adapter, which is what has left me without a backup device. Note all this hardware works fine (tested via swapping) in my non-SMP boxes.
does it have a working 2.4 kernel? I took an HP LH4 quad Xeon, with 2 x RAID arrays, 2Gb RAM, 40x6i DAT autoloader hanging off a 2940, and 2 x Intel Etherpro 100 NIC's, running 7.0 and upgraded it to get ext3 and (so I thought) better SMP performance. What a disaster - I can no longer load the 2940 on this box, so I lost my backups (I had to put it in another box, and backup off NFS), network errors are perpetual, no matter what NIC's I put in it, and bind crashes every day (threaded on SMP doesn't work). It's been a true disaster. I have been told that most issues with 2.4 got resolved around 2.4.15, but 7.2 is stuck with a 2.4.9 kernel. Please tell me it's fixed. I know I can compile my own, but I'd rather leave it to RHN to update me on this particular box - it's production so I don't really want to experiment much.

I beg to differ, but in the anti-trust trial one of the arguments was the information that Office is one of the few software packages that continues to increase in price with every release. When Office 2000 came out, the Professional edition was the most expensive version in the products history.
If you want to dig deep into the OS, activeX is the way to go. For example, you can use a pop-up ad to bypass ACL and registry security, and drill down into the account database on Microsoft Money or Quicken, if the user has it installed. You can also run stuff as "Clippy", who has full administrator priviledges on an NT box, regardless of the current users account priviledge.
Try the Services For Unix from Microsoft, (formerly NT-SUX) it's a rebundled MKS toolkit. I've tried the GNU tools and they stopped working right in W2K, and are now currently unavailable, while being re-prepared. If you want non-commercial, Cygwin is the way to go, but I think the MKS stuff is pretty comprehensive.
to my amazement, when I first started checking toptools, I was able to connect to an HP server and not only see it's load remotely, I could check the CPU temperature.
I had the same issue, I am now pretty sure that you have to visit the plug-in link to install it, only when running as administrator (or root). Once I did that, it worked for all accounts just fine.
... then just use crypto. It's up to you to take care of this, not some whinebag "committee".

It's a plausible reason they give for making Spidey's webs "biological", but did they have to make them squirt out of his butt?

uh, you might want to fix your personal website then, troll-ass. Folks, don't reply to this bogus loser ... do your research.
