    How is certificate validation done? The server setup documentation mention no CA repository is to be configured, which suggests no validation is done.

    And TLS without certificate validation is vulnerable to easy Man In The Middle attacks. It is barely more secure than plain text commuications

    I was joking. Indeed EU nations are far from enjoying true democracies, but at least they have a few rare opportunities to change things through votes. Armed revolutions means the winner is the one that has the more weapons, which most of the time means the more support from foreign countries : this is even less democratic than rare elections.

    I could say that evolution finds solution to environmental challenges like water finds the way out of a bucket.

    But let me rephrase what I find amazing : evolution leads to the same solutions for the same environmental challenges, but through different genetic setups. That suggests the optimum is always reached. This is amazing.

    Looking at cows, dolphins and horses genetic proximity shows unexpected results, as cows and horses are not the closer in the trio, despite their similar features.

    That suggests environment drives evolution in a predictable way, while the genetic evolution is not. This is the really amazing point: evolution find similar solutions to similar problems, but it does so through different ways.

    Working immigrants do not tend to be a burden on social systems. Remember that they contribute to it through their work, while they cost nothing to raise and educate for the host country. And if they go back home when they get older, they do not cost because of age-related problems either.

    Having too many people for a given task means there is some extra work capacity. This is required to handle unexpected situations. If anything unusual strikes and require extra work while there is nobody left idle at any time, then the company is doomed to fail the unexpected event.

    A nice way to learn is to fix bugs in software you use. You will get familiar with the software architecture, and if it is well written, you may get good habits.

    I was not thinking about people making a dirty bomb, but rather about fights around a fragile sarcophagus filled with radioactive material.

    You miss my point.

    There have been a revolution in Ukraine. The constitution does not apply anymore (otherwise the former president would still be there). Since there is no constitution, nothing legally prevent a region to leave the country. The emergency is therefore to restore a constitutional order, and foreign powers should not support a government that works on anything other than that.

    Without a constitution, Ukraine will fall in civil war. It will not need help from Russia to go that way, and the mess will spread to most parts of the country. Including Chernobyl.
