One bonus - they have integrated voicemail. Now when I first signed up, I was thinking of putting up my own Asterisk box etc. but I haven't gotten around to that. I was overjoyed to find that their integrated voicemail allows you to change the # of rings until pick-up to 6!!!

Man, that's nice. If I could only get my cell # to do the same.... I find sometimes that the delay between opening the phone or my BT headset accepting the call, it also dumps to voicemail.

I propose an 8 ring limit as a max. I'd use it!

Adjusting sound quality != QOS, BTW: What you're probably doing is adjusting the codec used to encode the voice data (some common ones off the top of my head are G.711 and G.729 - I believe .711 is 64kbit, and 729 is 8kbit, and I can tell a difference...)

In addition, even if you're attempting to use QOS on their equipment, the Comcast network probably ignores it anyways. They wouldn't have any reason to prioritize Vonage traffic - the only downfall is that they could possibly degrade your service if they wanted to; but I would think they (Comcast) wouldn't stoop THAT low.

    3. Turn off the equipment before working with flammable liquids.
    4. Make sure equipment doesn't have the smell of the flammable liquid after a reasonable drying time.

If you smell vapors, there is always a possibility of ignition, but you need the right fuel/air ratio to do damage. If you don't smell it on the device, there's not enough vapor there. Of course, as with anything flammable, use your head and you will still have it in the morning.

    - problems started after a driver upgrade (spdif sound disappeared on my ASUS A8n SLI after installing recent NFORCE drivers) ...

Had the same thing happen to me on my Sagetv box. Did a reload of the OS at one point, but didn't use the drivers (for sound) off of the CD. The drivers on their site for the SPDIF out will only give you 2ch sound, no matter what the source. The drivers on the included motherboard CD will put out a Dolby Digital 5ch signal for every source (including 2ch). This doesn't mean they're doing any goofy sound-matrixing to make your 2ch stuff come out 5 speakers, but it does seem that this driver is necessary to get the Dolby Digital encoding off of the board.

    Hope that helps...
