On Windows> pop some reg's in HAL divide them with zero reg's and tada a blues screen will display nicely in front of the user it's a very clean and nice way to display error messages on Windows. The user will feel home..
On Linux> impostor a module, call a stack send some nulls, voids whatever the core dumb's. All Linux users reads there daily core dumb's. So this is a fine place for error messages.
On Mac> Show the beach ball in an infinite loop. Mac users don't know how to read error messages.
and mail as we know it will die. Speaking for my self I find that I use Facebook for messages 90% of the time. What is innovative about systems like Facebook is that you have to give access before someone can post you a message. For a decade there has been talks about authenticating senders using SMTP but time has ran out for that.
For the last 1000 years old farts like myself have had there worries about the youngsters and new technology. Please stop the worries, there is no need to be worried about our fine young generation. Every generation will go one step further up the evolution ladder, and old farts like my self should stop the we-are-so-worried-because-they-do-things-differently crap and go back to our chess boards, old Spiderman magazines or Commodore 64 emulators and just STFU.
Nokia has gone from 40 dollar in 2008 down to 10 dollar as of now. Apple has gone from 180 to 210 in the same period. I call the 40 to 10 drop a fall. And the reason I call them pathetic is of there loss combined with there claims. I can all ready smell Darl McBride in the shadows..
But this "search warrant" give you a lot more than just Mr. John Doe at some street.. It gives you all the Doe's at a specific month who visited some URL. That is freaking privacy intrusion. Goodbye Yahoo.
