    how exactly are they shutting the organizaton down? The GPL was violated, and the AFPA refused reconciliation. BTW, even Microsoft didn't let its GPL violation go to court, it instead released the violating code after some negotiation.

    OH HELL NO! The thing I absolutely hate about office 2007 is the god damn ribbon. Its the most assinine user-unfriendly POS I have seen since vi. I will stop using firefox if they implement a ribbon.

    I am aware of that ruling. I am stating that that ruling itself is illegal and in clear contradiction with the constitution. If there is any semblance of law and justice left in America, it will be reversed.

    The key word here is "legal". Just because the President says something does not make it legal. Nor does the opinion of three payed for judges make it legal.

    The Second Circuit made the correct and lawful interpretation on December 18, 2003.

    problem. This is contempt of court. He stays in jail until he complies. Contempt of court is the only thing that can legally get you sent to jail indefinitely without a jury trial in the US.

    People who preach unquestioning submission would *never* tolerate becoming prisoners. Riiight...

    Quite possibly "riiight". Its not necessarily the people teaching unquestioning submission that would tolerate becoming a prisoner to the state, its that those same people coming to power may use the state to force that unquestioning submission on others. I fear that America has far more in common with Iran than a lot of us would like to admit.

    Kevlar and carbon nano-tubes are not particularly dense. The ideal projectile material is extremely dense, its why lead and depleted uranium are often used instead (or in conjunction with) of hard brass or steel.

    Not really. It takes a lot of practice to overcome revulsion of the dead. There is nothing that smells quite as bad like a dead person, even a fresh one has a smell that will tie your stomach in a knot. My fiance is a mortician and it took her quite some time to get over the smell. It still creeps me out when I end up having to wait on her at the funeral home.

    and utterly failed to provide funding for it. Its no wonder that NASA does not have enough money to complete the project. If this results in a funding increase for NASA, it will be a start. Even if it is only a tiny baby step.

    This is one I am considering myself for my next computer. Its a bit bulky, but looks good and decent quality for something mass produced.

    My plan for it so to hinge the top lid and have a little tray inside to keep wireless accessories (keyboard, mouse, MythTV remote, etc).

    To make one yourself? Get a motherboard tray (for example http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3387). Build a wooden box around it. Make sure it has ventilation. If you want to get fancy, stain/paint it, do some inlays, wood carving etc.

    You could try. Though at something like 12 dollars a day, its not exactly a high paying profession.
