    I think the bigger deception in the marketing is the way that they keep emphasizing it's low energy consumption without pointing out the fact that your freezer has used up a lot more energy making the ice cold in the first place!

    Just stick ".mirror.sytes.org" as the end of a domain name.

    Perhaps the easy to find steganography is just there to make those who find it think they've cracked it.
    i.e. a smoke screen for the real water mark.

    On another point, if someone does manage to remove the water mark and submit it back to them with their method, what is there to stop them saying "No, sorry, you didn't completely remove the water mark so you don't get the cash"?

    Compact Flash (CF) and SmartMedia. I wish I knew who contolled these formats

    You might want to take a look at the CompactFlash Association.

    They're a non-profit, mutual-benefit corporation that promotes adoption of CompactFlash as a worldwide, ultra-small, removable storage and I/O standard.

    it is a problem if your browser is VERY old (for example a Netscape 1.0)

    I just checked my web stats for this year to see what sort of percentage of visitors were using older browsers. Not very many by the looks of it...

    Internet Explorer 5.0 = 39.9%
    Netscape 4.0 = 23.0%
    Internet Explorer 4.0= 9.9%
    Netscape 3.0= 2.7%
    Netscape = 1.3%
    Netscape 1.0= 0.5%
