What I think is a bigger concern is the number of employers who will now Google your name before hiring you. They could easily be fooled into thinking that these are legitimate search results.
Can you tell me more about this "offline files" feature?
And as for the eye candy, maybe I am wrong but this seems like such a non feature it's almost laughable. It is barely a noticeable difference from XP, and not even close to the features of some of the XP tweak programs.
If RSS rocks you, then by all means install a plugin for RSS
I second this comment. I really don't need every new gadget embedded in my browser for the simple fact that once I get around to playing with whatever new thing comes along, I won't have the foggiest idea of how to use it! Plugins have separate userspace, separate config screens, separate documentation (hopefully by someone who is only working on that plugin). When you mash it into the browser, the config screens get distributed (hidden) into the main config screens, and the documentation (also hidden)gets pushed off to someone who is either unfamiliar with the feature, or simply doesn't have time to provide complete workups. I realize that isn't always the case, but even with poor documentation, at least I know where to go and what (and sometimes who) to ask when it's a plugin.
Oh and that other stuff about plugins being separately threaded from the browser is good stuff too.
I live in denver, although i have heard it used on the west coast as well. more often I hear people pronunce it "probly," but saying that way never quite rolled off my tongue.
There is a full-scale Dymaxion House: in Dearborn, Michigan at the Henry Ford Museum. That a New Yorker writer couldn't turn that fact up with a quick Google search is disappointing.
I believe that what the writer meant was that no full-sized reproduction could be built at that time (1929). If I recall correctly it was at least ten years before a full sized model was built.
I use prolly often in conversation and in text. If I feel the need to be more accurate in my syntax I use probability, which is understood to a better degree than probably. Most people are more likely to equate probably with "might" or "suppose" or some other undeterministic value of "possible." As such, prolly is as good as any other word. oppr dost thou still persist in using the olde tyme spellings?
But if you're in the car right behind me, that's another. Your decision about sacrificing safety for a cell phone conversation is also about my safety too.
Generally speaking, when I see (potentially) dangerous drivers I prefer them behind me.
You ring the doorbell, a ticket drops from the mail slot that says "You're free to enter the house and watch some TV", and the door swings open for you, and a lighted path to the TV illuminates on the floor. Valuable objects may be in plain view
Why do I feel like I am going to be eaten by a grue?
Seems like no one explicitly mentioned this, so I will. i have been building a healthy skepticism in my daughter by a constant barrage of tricks lies and pranks. Seems to work.
Thank you for pointing out my oversight, I will correct my sig shortly.
I am curious as to why you think I would want you to be really pedantic about usage. Is it sarcasm? Is it a thinly vieled threat? The profanity in the sentence previous suggests hostility, but for what end? What is the message you are trying to send?
My previous point remains; words change. Maybe not in France, where the language police have called for a national lockdown of their national language, but since this is english, I think we're prolly ok.
Even if they were able to shore up all the issues with TVA, there are countless other services critical to America that could be easily comprimised. For example our nations oil refineries are very loosely guarded; it would be trivial to arrange for a synchronized attack on them and the result would be utterly devastating.
Note to the NSA: I am not a terrorist, please don't take me away.
A long term downgrade in throughput beyond the first transaction you say?
That's not really fair; funny, but not fair. The "short bump" has a throughput that is higher than the speed you are paying for, and then it gets throttled back to the speed defined in your SLA. Comcast is guilty of many other shady practices, let's stick with those instead of resorting to slander and negative spin, shall we?
The hunt continues...
I#m very sceptic about Intes
Cool, proof of Dvorak keyboard use in the wild

Works both ways...
Those poor fools... luckily I printed a copy of the AOL homepage, so I don't worry about such things.
Seriously does no one read these? I like the idle pages, I hope they don't go the way of slashback... :(
Back on topic, I hope the Trons do a cover of Cantina Band by John Williams. Suck on THAT, Chalmun!

They've also conditioned modern man to get 10-20 credit cards and a subprime ARM mortgage
You know what they say about ARM mortgages? too much risc!
Sorry.
Wow, that was chock full 'o typos, wasn't it? Building services better fix the AC over here soon...

This post marks the point where your signal to noise ratio has placed you firmly in my ignore list. Good day.

I thought you meant his Slashdot UID

Slashdot... free thought...
It's funny 'cause it rhymes.

I would love to hear more of this, and just in case I added a note to phone for 2010.
