What's wrong with going to a movie and simply enjoy it? You either like it or not. Who cares if the CG work is not up to someone's standards or there is a costume error. I have better things to do with my time than watch a movie numerous times to look for all mistakes. Who cares if you didn't hear a footfall when spiderman landed. Do you also complain about all the noise spaceships make in scifi movies?
Let's see. I can't even remember the last time I saw a BSOD on a Windows box. You have to configure it properly, which even a monkey can do. Windows 2000 has much less reboots, and XP even less. Otherwise it's not a big deal. If you want real support for linux you have to pay for it.
that if MS would have won the bid we would have had something in windows to let us bid and list auctions on ebay automatically. Ebay make a nice tool called mister lister to bulk upload your auctions. It could have become part of the next version of windows. Now MS will have to build it's own auction site from scratch and integrate it into windows.
Name 1 OSS database that compares to Oracle in features and power. Some organizations actually need the features that are only provided by products like Oracle, SQL Server or other high end relational databases.
Haven't they ever heard of laser printers? Or how about purchasing from a reseller and getting better prices. Leave it to the government to pay retail for everything.
I caught the new transformers on TV a few weeks ago and didn't like it. Actually I'm not into a lot of old TV shows I used to watch as a kid. They seem boring and childish now.
Someone has to pay the bandwith. There isn't a business in the world that can indefinetly provide you a free service and survive. If you want to post content, then either find a hosting service or pay someone for their bandwith costs.
Part of it could be legal. If he allowed it once, he wouldn't be able to fight true piracy in the courts later on. Kind of like people have to pay to sell a book that takes place in the SW universe. If he allowed royalty free once, it may not stand up in court the next time.
But Lucas is the king of special edition versions. Each of his movies have appeared in so many various special editions and formats that the fans must have paid many times over for each of the movies. The RIAA and MPAA must be envious.
When I was a consultant for the US Army Corps of Engineers, they used KPMG. KPMG would do a monthly scan of the network and send us a report for changes we needed to make on servers and workstations. I think they also used them for the backbone network services, but not 100% sure.
In the Middle Ages people were considered adults at age 13 or so. It wasn't uncommon for people in their teens to be married, having sex and blessed with children. And there are many paintings from the time of nude women who were most likely under 18 when they posed for the painting. So would all this centuries old art have to be destroyed if the law would have been upheld.
CD's cost more than a few cents to make. You have manufacturing, transportation, cover art, marketing, advertising, studio time etc. Then you have the retail markup. Stores have to make a profit too. If you only want to pay $1 for a CD, you're free to go visit the factory and buy it without packaging or cover art. Of course getting to the factory may cost you quite a bit more.
And then the average per capita income is less than $1000 in India. So you have to take that into account too.
The article didn't mention one specific rule or regulation about how costs are split up. Only thing that was written was how bad the western corporations are and so forth. Not one fact. So can anyone tell me how exactly is the west raping african ISP's? How are their payment schemes different than what network providers charge other customers?

I actually heard about it from a major media source some years back and was really surprised. I think it was the NY Times or some other paper.
check this out It's not the best source of info, but it's on the money. Year after year the Bible outsells every other book on the market.
And how large is your database? How many users connect to it? To how many sites do you replicate it to? How many transactions does it process?
MYSQL isn't even a relational DB. How is it going to run Ebay?

Are you insane? Ebay uses Oracle to run it's database. You really think that MYSQL can handle a database that size with so many users at once?
I've used Konqueror for a little bit. Personally I'm happy with IE6 on my Win2000 and XP boxes.

No stupid. The money would be lent to others. Such as mortgages, business loans etc. With interest of course. This is how wealth is created.

First it may be illegal to willfuly destroy your company's property. Second it's not a good way to get a reference.

I think this is the most stupid thing I ever posted here and it gets modded up. What a bunch of idiot moderators.
If they can price their CPU's low enough and still make money then they might even hurt intel a little more.
I just bought some MSFT shares with last year's IRA money. Pretty good stock. Almost $8 a share in cash and good growth prospects ahead.
Microsoft has been using a great strategy proven by the Romans. Copy someone else and do it better. Avoid being the first in any new market.

considering he made Blade. Which I think sucked. I still don't get why people liked it. Stupid story and bad acting.
