in the picture there is a girl on the team? what does she do? i've never seen their booth at a trade show and she doesn't seem like the booth babe type
used to be if you wanted to advertise in NYC, you did it in the NY Times. everything from a home to a car to a job. now someone else owns the platforms for advertising
but then again, the NY Times was always a snobby paper that turned its nose on anything the staff believed was below them.
new jobs will come up 100 years ago people mostly read the bible for fun. today we have a trillion dollar leisure industry of theme parks, vacations, video games, etc
money doesn't vanish, it will simply be invested into something else
There is no such thing as a sharing economy. People renting out their assets and selling services as they have done for thousands of years
Only difference is that tech is allowing individuals to cheaply advertise their wares. Unlike in the last hundred years where you had to pay a lot of money to newspapers and other media.
Otherwise this so called sharing economy is just some marketing speak for stupid kids who eat this togetherness nonsense up. We had this small business and individual economy 100 years ago and corporations took over because they offer a consistent quality experience.
too bad there are these things called records that can be subpoenaed. like people not paying taxes on ebay sales 10 years ago until the states started asking for these records and sharing the information with each other
taxes pay for the trains as well, but its not enough to cover the cost of the system no reason not to have use fees on the bridges for people that use them. and there is a maintenance cost on them every year. not like you build it and its free to maintain
yep every day the drones will make a list of the peons driving on 34th street in rush hour and the mass arrests are coming next month
and i'm totally for some kind of congestion pricing in manhattan and i own a car. my wife and i pay for the train. lots of people drive in over free bridges that aren't tolled and paid for by my taxes. there is no reason why there shouldn't be some kind of toll on all the bridges. traffic around these bridges is so bad it takes an hour to drive a mile. charging people for using these resources should be priority #1 instead of relying on taxes from people who don't drive into manhattan
the last time i drove to the Bronx Zoo i bet some government worker had an alert flash when i paid my toll via ez-pass he jumped up and screamed, we got him. we got him. he's driving to the bronx
everyone complains how government is so dumb in how they build out the wrong infrastructure in the wrong place and when they try to study things for future build outs its suddenly a huge violation of privacy
both my kids had all kinds of conditions and diseases because my wife read all kinds of crap on the mommy and parent blogs and the kids fit most of the symptoms
pension funds and other large investors who own most of the stock hate risk. and a down and out company like dell will never be able to implement a risky plan without a shareholder revolt. CALPERS and the NY State pension plans will kill the idea.
going private means someone else is taking on the risk. usually rich people who invest in these things knowing the risks involved
IT people would be dumb to ask for these since most of them are simple things like installing and migrating a MS Exchange environment to new hardware and software. or installing Windows with a new PC purchase. the prices are very high for jobs that your IT department is already getting paid to do
as an IT drone why would i send a PO to my management for approval with a line item to install software that i'm already getting paid to support?
yes, lots of these things are released, don't work right or the way people expect them to and then go away for a few years until some company puts in the work to make it work
but if you have some super secret corporate info on your iphone you should be relying on a lot more than a consumer level fingerprint scanner for security
what do you expect? ballmer got his MBA at harvard at the same time the current GE CEO was there. and that's where the ranking system was born, at GE
most so called SUV's on the road today are nothing more than station wagons with larger tires and taller struts to make them higher off the ground
station wagon was always an uncool name until SUV's became popular
if you live close to a wal mart chances are your victim will have a gun and can defend him or herself

displays use different tech and numbers don't tell the whole story. if you want the best display for your eyes go to the store and look at them
hyping the resolution numbers is about as big a scam as megapixels on digital cameras

the last time i drove to the Bronx Zoo i bet some government worker had an alert flash when i paid my toll via ez-pass

NYC tried to pass london style congestion pricing a few years back but the state killed it. idea was to make people pay to drive in midtown manhattan
