No. What would probably happen is that those who came in contact with infected individuals would be given the vaccine in an effort to stave off a larger epidemic.

Then why did the congressman make it relevant by complaining that he was "struggling?" Here's an idea, I propose that congress take a 7% pay cut and work two more days a year to reflect the reality that average working Americans are really facing i.e. working longer for less. Not to mention the fact that American's net worth is down by 23%

BTW, is that the best we can do in selecting our leaders - by finding dross off from reality TV?

Butâ"Betty Boop 1930s movie posters were not copyrighted (or not renewed?) as standalone items, so are public domain.

Actually it's not even that good. According to the decision (pdf) it's a question that the chain of rights was not established by the modern-day Fleischers and therefore they can not enforce the copyright. The fact that Betty Boop was on an old poster was/is irrelevant. The trademark issue was secondary (though important). But that has been decided previously and is not new law. Most (if not all?) Warner Brother cartoons are under copyright because they have not expired yet.

The bigger issue for me at least is that copyrights are no longer allowed to expire via any mechanism, and this political philosophy is being exported worldwide - let alone the fact that they last too long in the first place.

As far as you know. If you're sick with Celiac and remain undiagnosed, you will tend to produce fewer offspring. Because of the ignorance of those offspring, they in turn will produce fewer children. The fact is that there is more than one vector here. If Celiac was distributed equally across the planet, then you might would have a point. But if different societies have different percentages of Celiacs, then it's safe to say that a negative pressure is being exerted.
