> The ones who should really be worried is television.
You forgot to mention all the brain-dead, mind sucking advertising that takes 15-18, or more, minutes of every hour. This is the #1 reason I do not watch TV 'live' anymore...
This is the intellectual property, patent pending, procedure that I have come up with to properly dispose of documents (FBI, CIA, NSA spook proof as well):
You need a bucket. The size of the bucket depends on the amount of paper documents to be destroyed. The bucket can be metal or plastic. Wax lined paper buckets will not work.
You tear up the paper documents into little pieces and put them in the bucket one handful at a time, sprinkling soggy coffee grounds on top of each layer. You then take a can or two, or more as needed of Pepsi(tm) and pour it on top. Mix the contents of the bucket. Preferably with a stick. You then piss in the bucket. Mix the contents again. Finally, you take a dump in the bucket. Mix thoroughly for the last time.
I 100% guarantee that no one will be able to read the documents - or even want to...
I've said it before and I'll say it again, TLDs are stupid. DNS doesn't really give a rats arse about.com,.foo,.etc, whatever. You should be able to register thisismydomain.takeoffeh and it should just simply work.
Thank GNU for this small slice of clear thinking. Every time I hear a programmer babble away and toss XML around, I want to smack him. The most retarded use of XML I've seen so far is on mobile devices running Java crap. Not only are you limited by speed, you also have a limit on the size of your application. One wee program ran much faster when the geniass stopped using XML and just used a plain olde text file. Heck, he even had room to make it fully functional.
What is worrisome here is that most of the vendors are catering to this crowd. It is getting more and more difficult to purchase a good looking case that doesn't look gay or queer. Even bits'n'bobs like CPU coolers, RAM, keyboards, mice, etc. Bleh.
We get CIO Magazine. Problem is, it is written in some kind of language that turns my brain into bullshit induced mush.
Obviously you're not a member of the Order of BOFH Fraternity. Therefore you must be a [l]user...
Unanticipated cessation of motion not good enuff?
Oh cr*p. I guess I shouldn't be using all the wide-open access points in the condos across the street from the hotel when I stay in downtown Miami...

Except, what if you don't need any of that crap cluttering your desktop? Hmmm??
Obviously you haven't met all the dweebs that pronounce it "war - ez" or "war - rez"... ;)
What's the word I'm looking for, oh yes, entrapment...
Because the Bin Laden family funded Bush's first oil company. Look it up...
Give me my Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons back...

Kernel sources take up, what, only a handful of gigabytes?

Alas, more likely than someone with higher intelligence [than they]...
I'll still buy all of my Mac stuff from http://www.macdoc.com/. He takes trade-ins, has good deals, etc. Apple Store can go and sod off, eh?
The first thing the "PR" industry did was to change their name from "BS". A pile of dung will still smell the same by any other name...

I for one welcome our Communist Overlords. Hail Mao!
Well... 65MB isn't too much considering the 1GB+ of Windows XP bloatware already on yer machine...
